Patriot Braided Bracelet

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cousin ® 6mm red glass round beads (1 pk)
  • Cousin ® 6mm blue glass round beads (1 pk)
  • Cousin ® 6mm silver/clear mirror beads (1 pk)
  • Cousin ® silver/crystal rondelles (2 pk)
  • Silver 6mm jump rings (16 pc)
  • Silver crimp tubes (8 pc)
  • Silver lobster claw clasp (2 pc)
  • Silver extender chain (1-1/8")
  • Silver head pin (1 pc)
  • Silver beading wire (40")

DIRECTIONS:

3-STRAND BRACELET:
1. Cut three 10" lengths of beading wire.
2. Using crimp tubes, attach two of the wires to the same jump ring. Using a crimp tube, attach the third wire to a separate jump ring.
3. Connect the two jump rings together. Link an additional jump ring through the two jump rings and attach the lobster claw clasp.
4. Link three jump rings together into a chain, repeat this two more times.
5. Thread the following bead pattern onto an outer strand: a red bead, the end of a set of jump rings, 14 red beads, the end of a set of jump rings, 13 red beads, the end of a set of jump rings and 1 red bead. Use a crimp tube to attach the wire to a jump ring. Trim the excess wire.
6. Thread the following bead pattern onto the center strand: a mirror bead, the center ring of a set of jump rings, 3 mirror beads, a blue bead, a rondelle, 2 blue beads, 4 mirror beads, a blue bead, a rondelle, 2 blue beads, the center ring of a set of jump rings, 4 mirror beads, a blue bead, a rondelle, 2 blue beads, 4 mirror beads, a blue bead, a rondelle, a blue bead, the center ring of a set of jump rings and a blue bead. Use a crimp tube to attach the wire to the same jump ring from step 5. Trim the excess wire.
7. Thread the following bead pattern onto the last strand: a red bead, the end of a set of jump rings, 3 red beads, 2 blue beads, a rondelle, a blue bead, 4 red beads, 2 blue beads, a rondelle, a blue bead, the end of a set of jump rings, 4 red beads, 2 blue beads, a rondelle, a blue bead, 4 red beads, 2 blue beads, a rondelle, the end of a set of jump rings and a blue bead. Using a crimp tube, attach the wire to a jump ring. Trim the excess wire. Connect the jump ring to the one used at the end of steps 5 and 6.
8. Use an additional jump ring to link the two jump rings together and attach the extender chain.
9. Make a blue bead drop and attach it to the end of the extender chain.

SINGLE STRAND BRACELET:
1. Cut a 10" length of beading wire.
2. Using a crimp tube, attach one end of the beading wire to a lobster claw clasp.
3. Thread the following bead pattern onto the wire: a red bead, a mirror bead, a blue bead, a rondelle. Repeat this pattern 3 more times.
4. Thread on a red bead, a mirror bead, a blue bead and repeat one more time.
5. Thread on the pattern from step 3 four times. Then thread on a red bead, a mirror bead and a blue bead.
6. Using a crimp tube, attach the wire to a jump ring. Trim the excess wire.
