This machine is wonderful, quiet operation,30 stitches to choose from. I love the getting started DVD. I was up and sewing all night. LOL....I would recommend this machine to anyone wants a great machine at a great price. Happy Sewing!!!!

So my grandma bought this for me as a early Christmas present, and I love it. I've only had it about week and the only thing I dont like about it is I cant use the Automatic Threader I'm much better doing it by hand. But I love this machine and if your looking to get one I would recommend trying this one out it works great and it is easy to use and this is coming from a 16 year old who's never owned a sewing machine before.

I bought my sewing machine on October 10th. I am not a beginner, but my sewing needs are simple. One costume later, before Halloween, I had the timing completely out of wack. It needed adjustments constantly! The email back from Singer was not helpful. Basically just saying to take it in to get it fixed. My machine needed service before I even could send in the registration card or take the free class at Joanns.

I purchased at the Viking Center in store. The salesperson was able to answer all questions and did a demo. When I asked about some of the bad reviews, thread breaking, fabric bunching, etc. she said the main reason is old thread or dull needles. Attended the 'free' class on how to operate the machine with all features. This machine does it all at a very reasonable price.

Broken on first use- Lemon?

I heard so many great things about this machine, so I thought it would be great. The needle stopped picking up the bobbin thread during my first use. I bought it at the Viking Center at the Joann's superstore, which is about 40 minutes away without traffic. So it's been a week since it broke, and I haven't had a chance to take it back (I work, and I got sick this week). I'm frustrated because my curtains were almost done- I just needed one more hem. Ugh. Did I just get a lemon?
