Great for make-up application
I have had one of these lamps for 10-12 years and I have never needed to replace my bulb! I use it daily for skin care and applying my make-up. I never have to worry about having too much blush or an unflattering color of lipstick. I tried to get them to make a magnified makeup mirror, lighted by one of these - so I created my own system. Bifocal eyes really need the mag mirror to get eye makeup where it belongs, in the colors that belong.

I was working with black yarn, making a sweater, and had problems seeing my work. After I purchased this light, I was continuing making the sweater --- I could not believe how easy it was to see the yarn. It makes everything easier to see. I wondered why I didn't buy this years ago.

Perfect for Scrapbooking
I bought the blue one for myself to use while doing my scrapbooks. I am a consultant for CM and find that not every room I rent to do scrapbooking events has great lighting. This light is perfect for seeing the true colors of a subject. I bought a pink one for my good friend and customer as a birthday gift. The base removes easily, too, for easy packing with your scrapbooking supplies.

This is an awesome lamp, a must for quilters. Does not put out alot of heat either. Boght is for quilting. When it was 50% off and free shipping on the pink lamp.

Perfect lite for Scrapping
I use this for scrap booking and it makes everything look better. I will be getting more in the future when my kids because it really makes a difference in any task.

Poor design on this product
I loved the idea of this lamp; however, very disappointed. I have had the lamp for about a month now it will not stay open as designed. The only way to get it to stay open is to keep it tilt it all of the way up otherwise is slowly falls closed. unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to tighten the hinge. I do not recommended this lamp. I really love the light spectrum/quality otherwise. I will look into buying bulbs for my other house lamps instead.
