Bought for my husband

We are so pleased with the lamp in so many ways. My husband has difficulty with reading unless the light is very strong. This lamp is the perfect Christmas gift for him giving him an opportunity to read in good strong light. The magnfier is a bonus for small print. The base on the whole ensemble is heavy enough to keep it from tipping over. The enclosed book light was a pleasant plus! Bought at 50% sale and very satisfied.

It's a KEEPER.

Overall, this is a very impressive (but not perfect) product. It delivers in output, flexibility, quality and design. Suggested improvements include concealing the the electrical cord that runs down to the floor, a larger on/off switch, extending attachment arms, and adding optional locking casters to the accessories line. This unit is well-worth the price paid (50% off) and a purchase I would eagerly make again. Unlike most pole lamps, this one is a keeper.

LOVE this lamp....but...

I absolutly love this lamp. I bought it on sale for half price and feel I got a good deal. Althought I just got it I have used it for cross stiching and plan on using it for hand sewing, crocheting and reading. I also bought the tray that goes with it and love that now I do not have to put my tools away. Now for my but..... I do not like the clip and magnifing arms....the idea is a great one.... but the arms are very hard to manuver and get to stay in place. I have bent and played with them....fought with them might be a better word.They just will not stay in place. I hope further manipluation of them will loosen them up some.

Lamp is used for needlepoint and cross stitch projects. Lamp's magnifier is outstanding--crisp and clear magnification. Flexibility of: floor, desktop and clamp features enables use on various sizes of projects. Very sturdy base. Only wish that lamps could be lowered from pole. The higher it is the light is not so bright on work.

Really appreciate the fact that this product is versatile in the way you want to set it up. From a floor lamp to being attached to the table. Puts out great light - heavy base. Bought it on sale. What a deal. The magnifier works really well and I like to use when I need to see. The light is large enough that it shines over my work space as opposed to one area.

I love this OTT lamp and is a well-balance lamp, I used this lamp at my sewing/craft room because I need an extra light.

Good light, but I agree that the magnifier and clip arms are very awkward and thus almost useless. Not worth full price; but Ok at Joanne's 50 % sale price as it is rather cheaply made... After 1 yr head broke. Thought it was the bulb, but a new one and still did not work. Sent to Florida for service and wonder if I will see it again this winter. However every time they respond back to me they relay an offer to buy more Ott-Lite items at a ridiculously small discount.
