would not buy again

This machine met my requirements when deciding to purchase, but I expected that it would work at least as good as the old Singer I wore out. I wanted a machine to sew through heavy material. This machine does that. But it no longer works when using the zig zag, and drops stiches. Also if you try to run the machine at higher speeds,it walks over the table. I paid $300 for it and now I see it at $198. I feel ripped off.

Mediocre Quality

I just purchased this product online and plan to return it to the venue. This model and the CG590 has poor lighting. The low shank is small and barley snaps into the plastic feet except for the medal foot. Moreover the shank will not fit other feet used on prior sewing machines, e.g. Kenmore, Pfaff or Janome. The manufactory adjust the speed as appropriate and includes a small plastic screw driver if you wish to adjust. I am an advance seamstress and gives this machine a two star.

Happy in NH

My sister and I purchased this machine to share for heavy duty projects. I have already made a new vinyl slip cover for our hot tub cover with no problem - sewed through 4 layers of vinyl, a layer of nylon and a layer of mesh. Much faster and more rugged than my everyday machine -- Of course, I used a heavy duty needle and the correct thread. We are very pleased so far!

love the hd110

i purchased the hd110..the next model up from the hd 105..spend the extra money and get the hd110 its work it..i love this machine..i sew heavy demin and make lots of homemade purses that require going threw multiple layers of fabric and fusible fleece at one point i am gong there 16 layers and this machine has absoultly no problems..but i agree all presser feet should be metal not plastic..i had to invest another 100.00 in metal presser feet because the feet that come with the machine are crap..

Do not buy!!

My husband purchased this for me to replace an old singer that I had. I would love to have that old singer back. Hard to even belief this is a singer product. Runs stiff and clunky to use. Poor quality of construction. Find something else. you will regret buying this.

Disappointed

I spotted this machine at my local JoAnn Fabrics before seeing any advertisement. It said on the box that it was endorsed by Martha Stewart so I assumed it would be a quality machine. I've been looking for a machine with more power for heavy duty sewing. I was very disappointed after using it the first time. It did not have the power I was hoping for. It's a good machine for every day sewing but not for the heavy fabrics. I'm looking for a machine with power like the good old Singer machines from the 40's and 50's. Please, can you bring back that quality and power!? Thank you.

Paid to much

This sewing machine was advertised at the store for a retail price of $300.00 and a sale price of $200.00. Now I find out that the retail price is actually $250.00.... I always knew that JoAnn Fabric over priced everything including fabric. Guess I should have known better than to think I was getting a true sale. Haven't used the machine for quilting yet -- hope it does the job it has been advertised to do.
