WHEN THE LITE SEES YOU.
I didn't realize that I needed more lighting in my work room for direct sewing, crafts and art work until I bought this lamp. I have it by my computer and I use it also when I skype people and my camera picks up a perfect image and surroundings. It enhances the image perfectly. One drawback is that people around me find it annoying to deal with the reflections on their eyes from afar, but that can easily be fixed by closing it a little. It travels well and is of great quality. The price could be 10% less with the 50% off....would be better than $39.99. But oh well, everyone should make a profit, I couldn't make one at that price. But take my review with a grain of salt. It is good for me.

cant believe i waited so long!!
I have put off getting one due to the expense (which i am glad i did) I just found one today at a garage sale (for $10 whoo-hoo) and dont know how i have gone so long without one. I have been crocheting and other crafting for almost 20 yrs and I (almost) wish I had not waited so long to get one! - I have it set up at my computer desk and it is amazing how much better I can see everything. My stitches and my reading - the difference is truly amazing! I will never give this 'bargin' one up.

I have a similar product by a different company and it's a floor model. Which is fine, as long as I'm the only one in the room. The light is distracting for other people. I purchased the Ott-Lite True Color Portable so I could put it on the endtable next to me, while knitting, without disturbing other people around me. The problem is the arm will not stay open passed a 45 degree angle. The picture shown is opened at a 90 degrees which would be perfect but mine will not do that. I did purchase it at half off the origonal plus an additional 10% off. That was a great deal but only if it worked as shown in the picture. I was hoping to take it back to the Joann's nearest me but they said no because it was purchased online.

Great purchase!
I bought this lamp for sewing and cross stitching but I also use it for reading and anything else that I need light for. This is one of the best things I've purchased. The light can be adjusted so that it hits the sewing machine just right. My work has really improved! No more eye strain either! Great value.

Great lamp for crafting or detailed projects!
I read the reviews of this lamp and they were all glowing, and now I know why! This lamp is as good as everyone says. I have tried several different lighting options to light my workspace, and this one by far is the best! I don't even need other light sources to accompany it, it is that good! I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a lamp for detailed task purposes.

Life Saver

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST LIGHTS i'VE EVER HAD. OWNED FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND ONLY REPLACED THE BULF ONCE.WHEN BULB WENT OUT CALLED OTT-LITE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY GOT ME A REPLACEMENT ASAP!I THINK OTT-LITE HAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT,THEY ARE SO KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL AND JUST WONDERFUL TO DEAL WITH.
