I got these as a gift for Christmas and I am hooked! I will never cut corners (figuratively and literally) by going for cheaper shears. They are wonderful! I love Gingher!

Whew! I found them! I have had my Gingher shears for over 20 years and last year when I moved, I misplaced them. Today when I was looking for my sewing machine manual, I found my shears! I am thrilled. I had planned to buy another pair tomorrow but now do not have to. And, oh yes, I most definitely would buy another pair of the marvelously delicious shears. They are as sharp now as the day I bought them and they cut through anything without a frayed edge. They may cost more than the average scissor, but we are not talking about the average scissor here! These shears are amazing. If you do not own a pair, you are wasting your time, money, and health on whatever you are using. Get Gingher - you'll never go back to those others!

Although these are meant for fabric I use them for thick (140 lb) paper which I make paper sculpture out of. They are amazing. I don't even treat them very delicately and have been using them with all kinds of rough heavy paper for 5 years now and they are only begining to show wear or need for sharpening (and these are even 2nd generation passed down from my mom who used them for at least 10 years for fabric alone). Amazing quality! I can't imagine a better pair of scissors.

I love these scissors, I have been looking for a pair of scissors that would snip through 2 layers of denim and 2 layers of flannel at once(edges of my quilt) these do with ease! Thank you Gingher

My mom owns a pair of gingher 8" sheers that I have used frequently ever since I started sewing, back in 1996. Now that I'm in costuming, I bought a pair for myself. These are truly impressive and handle corner angles supurbly. I will never own a different brand for sewing needs!
