Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked For me. I was able to do a satisfactory rolled hem on chiffon fabric with this in the upper looper and the needle and Maxilock Stretch in the lower looper of my 1034D Brother serger. No issues with thread breakage. It definitely looks different than actual YLY Woolly Nylon, the the coverage is still very nice. In the pics, the blue is the Gutterman Bulky Nylon, the middle is the YLI Woolly Nylon, and the one in the right is the Maxilock Stretc

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative for wooly nylon This thread isn’t for beginners, you need to know exactly what it’s best suited for. Not all thread is created equally and can be used in many different ways. I personally use it for my the looper threads on my serger as well as in my bobbin. Not only does it offer some stretch from swimwear, activewear & lingerie, but it’s soft against the skin. The thread is “frayed”, that’s just how it is in order to provide the softness, strength and stretch that it offers. You have to put a little beeswax (or dampen it) on the very end when threading and it’ll work perfectly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Tried this for a rolled hem on a knit and it kept breaking on the upper looper. Switched to regular Gutermann polyester and that worked fine. So, I think my Brother 1034D just does not like the Gutermann Bulky Nylon at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for my needs! I use this thread to make a rolled hem on my linen napkins and towels. The slight elasticity to it gives me a really nice, even, and close stitched hem that I hadn't been able to achieve with other threads without the stretch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute Junk! I just purchased this thread yesterday. When I went to thread it through my machine it just frays. I even unspooled about 6ft., just in case it was the beginning part (which I've had issues with before). In the last photo you can even see how it's already starting to fray right from the spool. Don't waste your time or money.
