I like to use the heavy body gesso from Art Basic Finnabair because it is specifically formulated thick to be used as a primer on art and craft project. I use it on top of embellishments, resin, glass, metal, canvas, paper as base for my paint to stick to any surface and I also love the dry brush effect you can achieve with this gesso. I highly recommend it.
