Rated 2 out of 5 by from Measurements are WAY off! I bought this mat earlier this week. It isn't self healing so is a bit harder, which make it less than ideal to cut on, but it works. I'm now using it to protect the surface under my paper cutter. I was trying to use it to help with measuring the foam core and mounting tissue I needed to cut, but the markings are so far off that in less than half the length of the mat I loose between 3/8" and 1/2" or something close to that. It would be almost better if it didn't have the measurements since they are so far off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cutting mat! I purchased this mat to cover my craft table, also purchased at Joann's. Perfect fit! Super light, but strong. It's going to see a LOT of use. And if you can find it during a 50% off sale, or use a 60% off coupon you're in for a great deal!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got exactly what I expected When I ordered this mat, I knew it was not a self healing mat. I needed a table protector. And that is exactly what I got. My mother has this same mat and we have been using it for sewing, quilting and crafts. It's the perfect protection for my space with the convenience and easy measuring with the grid. Thank you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sew Essentials Cutting Mat not what I thought I bought this to cover my sewing table bought also at Joann's because it's a perfect fit. I thought it would be self healing like other mats so I made bias tape using a rotary cutter but now it's heavily scarred. This is a good mat for laying out fabric to straighten and pin on a pattern as you would on a regular table, but you need to use conventional scissors to avoid damaging the cutting mat. If you use a rotary cutter, think of it as a long term disposable mat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to bring around and lasts for ever. I bought a few of this at every place I have worked and I also have one at home for my own projects. it is easy to store and out of side, (roll it or keep it flat) the first one Tha I am still using have it for more than 10 years and it hasn't dried up, it is as good as new.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a good buy! It's ok as something to protect the table but, it dulls the rotary cutter blades quicker and doesn't self heal. The biggest disappointment for me on this is the fact that in 48" the measurements are off by 3/8". I found this out when I cut two pieces for a costume and they didn't match up. Very disappointed in this mat. At least it was half off when I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for protecting table anf for cutting l I have had this mat for 3 or 4 years and it is still in great shape. I use it all the time for my quilting projects. When I get ready to pin baste I take it off my table and use bungee cords to roll it up. It always goes right back to laying flat when I put it back on the table.
