CUTTING DIRECTIONS:

  • Block A Background: Cut twenty-four 2" squares, twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" strips and twenty-four 2-3/8" squares from Stems and Roses.
  • Block A Center: Cut six 3-1/2" squares from Rose Bramble.
  • Block A Center Points: Cut twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" strips and forty-eight 2" squares from Pink Damask Leaves.
  • Block A Corners: Cut twenty-four 2-3/8" squares from Green Rose Fusion.
  • Block A Star: Cut forty-eight 2" squares from Paisley Outline.
  • Block A Center Corners: Cut twenty-four 2" squares from Purple Leaf Texture.
  • Block B Background: Cut twenty-four 2" squares, twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" strips and twenty-four 2-3/8" squares from Pink Rose Fusion.
  • Block B Center: Cut six 3-1/2" squares from Rose Trellis.
  • Block B Center Points: Cut twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" strips and forty-eight 2" squares from Paisley.
  • Block B Corners: Cut twenty-four 2-3/8" squares from Stencil Rose.
  • Block B Star: Cut forty-eight 2" squares from Light Green Leaf Texture.
  • Block B Center Corners: Cut twenty-four 2" squares from Tan Leaf Texture.
  • Sashing: Cut four 2"x36-1/2" strips and two 2"x33-1/2" strips from Green Damask Leaves.
  • Border One: Cut two 1"x391/2" strips and two 1"x34-1/2" strips from Tan Leaf Texture.
  • Border Two: Cut two 1-1/4"x40-1/2" strips and two 1-1/4"x34-1/2" strips from Paisley Outline.
  • Outer Border: Cut two 2-3/4"x42" strips and two 2-3/4"x36" strips from Paisley Rose.
  • Binding: Cut five 2-1/4" x width of fabric strips from Pink Rose Fusion for the binding.

SEWING DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place one 2-3/8" Green Rose Fusion square on top of one 2-3/4" Stems and Roses square, right side together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew a 1/4" away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two half square triangles (Fig. 3). Repeat to make forty-eight Block A half-square triangles
  2. Refer to Figure 4 and sew together two Block A half-square triangles, one 2" Stem and Roses square and one 2" Purple Leaf Texture square to make one Block A corner. Repeat to make twenty-four Block A corners.
  3. Repeat Step one with twenty-four Pink Rose Fusion squares and twenty-four Stencil Rose squares to make forty-eight Block B half-square triangles.
  4. Refer to Figure 5 and sew together two Block B half-square triangles, one 2" Rose Fusion square and one 2" Tan Leaf Texture square to make one Block B corner. Repeat to make twenty-four Block B corners.
  5. Place one 2" Pink Damask Leaves square on the left side of one 2"x3-1/2" Stem and Roses strip, right sides together (Fig. 6). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 6). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 7). Trim away the excess fabric 1/4" from behind the triangle 1/4" away from the sewn seam.
  6. Place another 2" Pink Damask Leaves square on the right side of the 2"x3-1/2" Stem and Roses strips, right sides together (Fig. 8). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 8). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 9). Trim away the excess fabric 1/4" from behind the triangle 1/4" away from the sewn seam to make one Flying Goose Unit. Repeat to make twenty-four flying geese.
  7. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 using twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" Pink Damask Leaves strips and forty-eight 2" Paisley Outline squares to make twenty-four flying geese units.
  8. Sew one Flying Goose from Step 4 to the top of one Flying Goose unit from Step 5 to make one Block A Center Point (Fig. 10). Make twenty-four Block A Center Points Total.
  9. Repeat Steps 3 and four with twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" Pink Rose Fusion strips and forty-eight 2" Paisley squares to make twenty-four flying geese units.
  10. Repeat Steps 3 and four with twenty-four 2"x3-1/2" Paisley strips and forty-eight 2" Green Leaf Texture squares to make twenty-four flying geese units.
  11. Sew one Flying Goose from Step 7 to the top of one Flying Goose unit from Step 8 to make one Block 8 Center Point (Fig. 11). Make twenty-four Block B Center Points Total.
  12. Refer to the quilt photo and Block A Layout and sew together four Block A Corners, Four Block A Center Points and one 3-1/2" Rose Bramble square to make one Block A. Repeat to make six Block A Squares.
  13. Refer to the quilt photo and Block B Layout and sew together four Block B corners, Four Block B Center Points and one 3-1/2" Rose Trellis square to make one Block B. Repeat to make six Block B Squares.
  14. Starting with one Block A Square, sew together two Block A Squares and two Block B Squares, alternating them to make one vertical row. Repeat to make three vertical rows.
  15. Starting and ending with one 2"x36-1/2" Damask Leaves Green strip, sew together four 2"x36-1/2" strips and the three vertical rows of blocks to make the quilt top.
  16. Sew one 2"x33-1/2" Green Damask Leaves strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.
  17. Sew one 1"x39-1/2" Tan Leaf Texture strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 1"x34-1/2" Tan Leaf Texture strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.
  18. Sew one 1-1/4"x40-1/2" Paisley Outline strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 1-1/4"x34-1/2" Paisley Outline strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.
  19. Sew one 2-3/4"x42" Paisley Rose strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 2-3/4"x36" Paisley Rose strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.
  20. Layer, quilt and bind as desired.
