Soft, Breathable, Waterproof "PUL" (Polyurethane Laminate) is a fabric laminated with waterproof polyurethane on the back. It is popular and effective for cloth diapers, diaper covers, bibs, diaper bags, wet bags, changing pads and more
I've been making diaper covers for awhile now and have purchased PUL from several online retailers. While I personally prefer woven cotton to knit poly PUL, and you can get cuter prints at other retailers, I've found the Babyville PUL to be of the same quality as found elsewhere. My daughter's current most-heavily used diaper cover is of this Babyville monkey print and it's holding up great after many washes and an active toddler. I would recommend Babyville PUL, will continue using it myself, and would consider selling the covers I make from it for profit. (Supposedly you can iron PUL, fabric side up, to help prevent delamination before you sew, or you can put in the dryer with a load of damp towels and the steam will help prevent delami
I have never had any issues with the PUL supplier I was purchasing through. On a whim I decided to try this brand PUL since it was more convenient to purchase at the local JoAnn store instead of having it shipping from my supplier. Because I had not used this brand of PUL before I decided to wash it before sewing to ensure it was a quality PUL that wouldn't delaminate. The print is cute, but the backing (waterproof part) has holes and has almost completely separated from the fabric! After reading further reviews online about this product, I am sad to see JoAnn stores chose to carry a product that is not the quality that cloth diapering parents need.
I love this design, it makes for really cool boy diapers. Mine has held up just fine in the wash, keeps its color and looks great. I've washed the diaper I made with it about 5 times now.
I have bought every kind there is online high end and they dont hold a light to this and the price is so much nicer i have wet bags diapers and bibs and seat pads and some have been washed prolly 50 times and no sign of breaking down i would tell any one dont waster you time with the online junk this is by far the bes
I bought 1/2 yard of this fabric in-store, using a pattern I got for free online, I was able to make 5 pocket diapers. I have washed and dried them once so far, there is no issue at all. The backing on this pul is not sticky like some other pul, so it is easy to sew with.
I bought this to make diaper covers. the first time washing it it was no longer water proof. I washed it like said and it sucks! do not waste your money on this. Just order good PUL
I was so excited to see this fabric in store at joanns. It felt so nice too. I bought this fabric for a friend and the dino fabric for my baby. I sewed up a couple covers and washed them before I put them on my baby, they completely delamitated. If you guys didn't have such a horrible fabric return policy I would have taken it back the same day. Instead I've been telling everyone I meet and everyone near the fabric not to buy it. Just join a coop and get some quality pul!
Purchased 1 yd which was on sale. Made a replacement cover for a changing table and since my daughter will be doing alot of traveling with the baby, made a laundry bag.
