Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Caron¬Æ United‚Ñ¢ (4 oz/113 g; 235 yds/215 m): * Dark Grey Heather - 8 skeins
  • Circular knitting needle - sizes U.S. 6 (5 mm) 36‚Äù [90.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure

GAUGE:

17 sts and 23 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stocking stitch.

MEASUREMENT:

Approx 45” [114.5 cm] wide x 50” [127 cm] long, excluding fringe.

DIRECTIONS:

Cast on 200 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needles in rows, knit 16 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.
Proceed in Check pat as follows:
1st row: (WS). *K10. P10. Rep from * to last 10 sts. K10.
2nd row: Knit.
3rd to 14th row: As 1st and 2nd rows 6 times more.
15th row: K20. *P10. K10. Rep from * to last 10 sts. K10.
16th row: Knit.
17th to 28th row:As 15th and 16th rows 6 times more.
Last 28 rows form Check Pat. Cont in Pat until work from beg measures approx 48” [122 cm], ending on a 14th or 28th row of pat.
Knit 16 rows (garter st). Cast off knitwise (WS).
