I have been using it for about six months now and have found that the tip is perfect for small, uneven, rough edges and partially drilled holes. It does the trick in a jiffy, unlike the handheld reamers that you can work up a sweat with and get nowhere, LOL!! The perfect item for working with the tiny holes in pearls! It is also great when you have metal spacers that have rough edges or are not drilled through, makes quick resolution of the problem. I am buying another today for a gift, great value! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bead reamer is a must have I am always reaming gemstone beads. It can be a hard and very time consuming job. This reamer is one of the best jewelry making tools out there. It makes reaming fast and easy! I've had mine for about 3 months, use it all the time, and not 1 broken tip. Don't ream another bead without it!
