  • Ornament 2: 2 yds 20-gauge, 1 yd 24-gauge
  • Ornament 3: 2 yds 20-gauge, 2 yds 24-gauge
  • Glass bead assortments
  • 10" piece of ribbon or cord
  • Wire cutters
  • Round-nose pliers
  • Bent-nose pliers
  • Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

ORNAMENT 1:

  1. Cut 4 pieces of 20-gauge wire 7" long.
  2. To make flower petal, use round-nose pliers. Place approximately 21/2" from end of one piece of 7" wire; bend down. Move pliers 1/4" from first bend. Bend wire up. Move pliers 1/4" again and bend down. These are the outside points of flower petal. Close flower petal by wrapping ends around each other. Flower petal should be approximately 2" long and 1" wide.
  3. Repeat step 2 three more times.
  4. Using 24-gauge wire, wrap flower petals together at center.
  5. String one large bead onto a small piece of 24-gauge wire; wrap over center of flower and secure. Take a 4-5" piece of 24-gauge wire and thread a bead onto one end. Attach bead with a wrap loop.
  6. Cut extra wire.
  7. Using a pencil, coil 24-gauge wire with bead around pencil. Attach coil to center of flower behind large bead. Wrap wire around other wire on flower to secure.
  8. Repeat steps 6-7 three more times.
  9. String ribbon or cord through a flower petal to hang.

ORNAMENT 2:

  1. Cut 5 pieces of 20-gauge wire 7" long.
  2. To make flower petal, take one piece of 7" wire and bend slightly to make an oblong loop. Loop should be approx. 21/4" long and 11/4" wide. Close the flower petal by wrapping ends around each other. Leave a small stem, if possible.
  3. Repeat step 2 four more times.
  4. Using 24-gauge wire, wrap flower petals together at center. Trim any excess wire if necessary.
  5. String several different beads on 24-gauge wire and wrap over and around center of flower. Add as many beads as you like to cover the center. Secure.
  6. Take a 4-5" piece of 24-gauge wire and thread a bead onto one end. Attach bead with a wrap loop. Cut extra wire.
  7. Attach wire with bead to center of flower behind beads. Wrap wire around wire on flower to secure.
  8. Repeat steps 6-7 four more times.
  9. String ribbon or cord through a flower petal to hang.

ORNAMENT 3:

  1. Cut 6 pieces of 20-gauge wire 5" long.
  2. To make flower petal, take one piece of 5" wire and bend in half using round-nose pliers. Close the flower petal by wrapping ends around each other. Leave a small stem if possible. Flower petal should be 2" long and 1/2" wide.
  3. Repeat step 2 five more times.
  4. Using 24-gauge wire, wrap flower petals together at center. Trim any excess wire if necessary.
  5. String one large bead on 24-gauge wire and wrap over center of flower. Secure.
  6. Wrap 24-gauge wire around flower point; thread enough beads onto wire to fill in the length of flower petal. Attach other end of wire to center of flower by wrapping it around the center of flower. Cut excess wire.
  7. Repeat step 6 five more times.
  8. String ribbon or cord through a flower petal to hang.
