•    Rolling pin
•    Mixing bowls

*Royal icing takes at least 24 hours to dry, so you will want to start your projects at least a day in advance before serving.

**Combine Violet with Rose for violet shown.

DIRECTIONS:
1.    Make cookies. Prepare dough and roll out following recipe directions. Use Comfort-Grip flower cutter to cut shape. Bake cookies on parchment paper-covered cookie sheet and allow to cool.
2.    Color icing. Prepare royal icing according to package instructions. Tint portions rose, violet, orange, brown and yellow. Reserve some white. Thin a portion of rose and orange icing according to package instructions. 
3.    Decorate yellow flower cookie. Use tip 3, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength yellow icing to outline cookie. Use tip 14, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength violet icing to pipe stars in center of cookie and lines extending from stars in center. Use tip 14, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and rose icing to pipe stars on ends of lines. Allow to dry overnight.
4.    Decorate rose star flower cookie. Use tip 3, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength brown icing to pipe petal outlines on cookie. Allow to set, about 1 to 2 hours. Use tip 14, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength rose icing to pipe stars inside flower petals. Use tip 10, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength white icing to pipe ball center. Pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Attach bumble bee icing decorations on petals. Allow to dry overnight.
5.    Decorate polka dot flower cookie. Use tip 10, cut disposable decorating bags with coupler and full-strength white icing pipe large dots on cookie. Use tip 5, cut disposable decorating bags with couplers and tinted icing to pipe random sized dots on cookie. Use tip 3, cut disposable decorating bags with couplers and full-strength contrasting tinted icing to pipe dots on top of larger sized dots. Allow to dry overnight.   
6.    Decorate pink flower cookie. Use tip 3, cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength rose icing to outline cookie. Use thinned rose icing in cut disposable decorating bag to fill in cookie. Allow to dry overnight. Use tip 3, cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength white icing to pipe petals. Use tip 5, cut disposable decorating with coupler bag and full-strength rose icing to pipe swirl center. Allow to set, about 1 to 2 hours.
7.    Decorate orange flower cookie. Use tip 3, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength yellow icing to outline cookie. Allow to set, about 1 to 2 hours. Use thinned orange icing in cut disposable decorating bag to fill in cookie. Allow to dry overnight. Use tip 5, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength rose icing to pipe petal outlines. Use tip 10, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength yellow icing to pipe ball center. Use tip 3, a cut disposable decorating bag with coupler and full-strength violet icing to pipe dots around ball center. Allow to set, about 1 to 2 hours.

Project Tip: These flower cookies can easily be transformed into snowflake cookies for Christmas. Use white and light blue royal icing to pipe your design and then add Wilton Sugar Pearls, Colored Sugars or Sprinkles to add accents.
