Rated 5 out of 5 by from So soft&warm even when weather is below freezing This was made my first scarf with Bernat's Boa yarn. To be honest, I almost did not try this type of yarn, for I thought the type would be difficult; boy was I totally wrong. Crocheting with this type of yarn couldn't be easier, matter of fact, it is the easyest type of yarn I have ever used. I crocheted the scarf in no time, faster then any other scarf; while I watching TV. Just from the feel I knew it was supper soft. I just can't get over the ease of crocheting. Now for the practicality of use, it is obviously really soft, but it is also so warm that you wouldn't know your in below freezing weather and I was for the holidays. Bottom line, I like the feel, the ease of crocheting and the warmth it holds so much that I did-not make one; no, I made 4. Two for me and two as gifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boa Yarn Fishing I do not knit or croshet, but I do use your yarn. I tie fly fishing flies with it. It makes some beautiful leech and woolybugger pattern flies. They do catch a lot of fish. It is easy to work with and it moves well in the water. I think the color choices are great. It is strong and last a long time on the hooks. I know this is not the intended use for it, but as a fly tier I am always looking for new products that will help in my flies. I know a lot of other tiers that also use it. I would highly recommend it to others. I buy a lot of products from Joanns for fly tying and I know many others that do also. You are missing a good selling item by not promoting for fly tying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this yarn to make fur trim. I make Santa suits and accessories for use as decorations on the fireplace or wall. I discovered that Bernat Boa yarn used with anothe light weigt yarn looks like real fur when knit together. Using another strand of yarn makes it easier to see your stitches and adds body to the finished project.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Santa Hat Brim I combine this yarn with "normal" yarn (for bulk) to create white brims for my hand made Santa Hats. I knit the combined stands on a circular loom. The white boa yarn gives the hats a spectacular look. Recipients of the hats love the entire look and feel of the hats. The Boa Yarn is perfect for this application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for knitting warm scarves. I use this all the time to knit scarves with US 13 needles. Even with a loose knit it keeps you warm. The only problem i have is occasionally I will start at the wrong end of the skin and it will unravel the yarn when I fist pull on it but a quick knot past the unravel point ends that trim the unraveled portion off and away you go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got some on clearance end of 2007 Folks who are looking for this yarn, I see some limited colors in Joann;however, I honestly think that many colors have been discontinued. (no one told me this but I don't see it in stores that used to carry it). Last winter (winter 2007), there was a huge clearance sale on this stuff at Michaels. (A.C. Moore also sold it at a discount around that same time). My girlfriend and I bought some of every color. They were $1.00 each. Yeah, we were very fortunate. We make scarves for a project at our church). I bet you can still get some from Mary Maxim or Hershnner's catalogs. You can also check out ebay. I also do not know why they would have discontinued this super cool yarn. Good Luck all!!!!
