Love this yarn especially for baby washclothes with designs. Having a really hard time finding it. Checked the Bernat website. Cottontots has been discontinued. No replacement recommended.
I really love this yarn, made about 30 sweaters for lit tle ones in the last 5 years and all the Mommy's love it. But... I am having trouble buying it locally. The stores don't carry it any more & on line the solid colors are harder to find. I just hope Bernat doesn't stop making it!
love this all cotton yarn. made 2 afghans for my grandaughters and made little stuffed animals with the leftovers. i'm waiting for it to go on sale, to buy it for some ponchos for them. nice wide selection of colors.
I put all and every machine wash handmade knit/crochet from afghans to kitchen stuff..in one of those white net soft launder bags..works for me on pilling etc..never put in dryer/with exception of kitchen/bath stuff ordering some of the browns in this :) I like the feel of this yarn and I love cotton
I know several people said their projects pilled after washing and drying, and I know some yarn labels say that you can dry them in the dryer, but DON'T! No matter the yarn, I always lay it flat and air dry it. Nothing you handmake will wash the way a machine-made item will. I think if this yarn is machine(or hand) washed and air dried, pilling won't be a problem. This yarn is great, btw.
I have been using Cotton Tots yarn for the last 5 yrs with every child born into our family, and the first child still uses her blanket. My grandson is 20mo and cuddles it every night. These was wonderfully, no pilling or fading. i wonder if some may have gotten defective batches, that's the only thing I could think it could be. i've recommended it to many friends and family
I use this use to make baby clothing and afghans. I love it! It works up nicely, has a great hand to it! The colors are fabulous! So nice to have some bright baby colors as an option to the basic pastel pink, blue and yellow! Would recommend!
I was so very disappointed with this yarn. I crocheted a beautiful baby hat. I washed it and it immediately began to fade and pill. I would never buy it again.
