The Better Bobbin Winder conveniently allows filling of bobbins directly from sewing machine; no need to unthread machine to fill. The winder is marked clearly with directional arrow and numbers for easy threading. Accommodates larger spools of thread. Winder has both a thread guide and a taller spindle for larger spools, such as Serger and Embroidery thread.
got it and the first problem i had is it doesnt stop itself, you have to turn it off to get it to stop winding or it will over wind. You have to hold the thread on so it doesnt pop off. And after a dozen uses it broke and wont even wind anymore. Dont bother with it
At first I had problems with my bobbins popping off and uneven winding when I was using this winder. After experimenting I realized you need to firmly press your bobbin all the way down on to the bobbin holder. It is a snug fit but once I started doing that it works really well. I love that I can wind directly from my machine. The winder is fast and not too noisy. I use this with Pfaff 6270 bobbins.
I bought this after the bobbin winder on my machine stopped working. I was so excited to get back to work on all of my projects. Unfortunately, the bobbins all came out uneven, with bulges in the middle, and they were not usable. Thankfully, I was able to return this product. It was a waste of time and gas money!
i just bought this Monday totatly disaapointed . it would just not wind correctly.i was so looking forward to it.luckly i can return it.
It is junk....I am going back to my sidewinder.
This was a mistake and waste of hard earned money. Doesn't work good at all. Wish I had returned it. Never do that again. Save your money. Others may work better than this one.
This product will not work with the Viking Husqvarna Rose. I received this as a gift and can't return. This is useless to me.
I have the same problems with this bobbin winder that other reviewers have mentioned. The thread is always unevenly wound on the bobbin and the thread appears to be loosely wound instead of smooth and snug. There is usually a bulge in the middle, and this causes problems with the tension on my sewing machine. Within a few seconds after the bobbin starts to wind, the spool of thread flies off the spindle and leaves a tangle of thread that I have to rewind around the spool. A screw-on or push-on cap to keep the spool on the spindle would be a big improvement. (I DO follow the directions exactly.)
