1. Cut one 1 7?8"x16" strip from Fabric A, two strips from Fabric B & one strip from Fabric C; use the 1" tip to make folded tape. Make 4 flower shapes following General Directions with Fabric A as the largest; make other flowers gradually smaller so they can stack.

2. Make one stacked flower using 3 flower shapes. Glue layers in place.

3. Lay stacked flower and one single layer flower on clutch. Glue one button in the center of each flower.

4. Cut one 1/2"x16" linen strip; cut into two equal lengths.

5. Lay strips out onto clutch at either side of flower cluster. Fold up strips for a ribbon effect. Glue folds in place. Glue flowers in place.

1. Using the Simplicity® Rotary Cutting Machine, cut fabric in bias strips in the width recommended on the packaging for the Simplicity® Bias Tape Maker tip.

2. Using the Simplicity® Bias Tape Maker with the tip desired, make the folded tape.

3. Baste a straight stitch in a zigzag pattern from folded edge to folded edge, along the length of the folded tape. Refer to photo.

4. Pull the thread to gather tape into flower shape. Hand stitch to secure. Trim.

  • Glitter mesh pieces: 4 1?2" x 10 1?2", 3 1?2" x 6 1?2"

  • Sew-in heavy weight interfacing: cut a 2" circle.
1. Cut one 1 7?8"x40" silk strip and make the folded tape with the 1" tip. Baste the zigzag the length of the tape and pull thread to gather, following General Directions.

2. Wrap gathered tape around and on top of itself to fill in center of flower. Hand-tack and glue in place.

3. Hand sew beads to center of flower.

4. Baste along one long edge of each piece of glitter mesh. Pull thread to gather into leaf shape. Fold down top corners and tack in place. Stitch to secure to back of flower.

5. Glue interfacing onto back of flower, covering the gathered ends of leaves.

6. Glue pin back in place.

  • 1/2 yd cotton batik Fabric B: flower center & small flower
1. Cut two 1 7?8"x18" strips from Fabric A; use the 1" tip to make folded tape. Make two flowers following General Directions, one 2 1/2" in diameter and one smaller to fit on top.

2. Cut two 1 1/2"x14" strips from Fabric B; use the 3/4" tip to make the folded tape. Make two small flowers, following General Directions.

3. Cut one 1/2"x26" strip. Cut a 23" length and glue along center of headband. Wrap ends neatly around tips of headband. Glue in place.

4. Layer and glue one small flower and flowers from Step 1 to form a three-layer flower.

5. Glue or hand stitch one bead in center of both larger flower and remaining small flower. Glue flowers to headband at one side.

6. Cut remaining 1/2" strip into smaller pieces and glue underneath flowers for a feathered effect.

1. Cut six 2 1?2"x16" strips from Fabric A; use 1 1?4" tip to make folded tape. Make six flowers following General Directions.

2. Cut one 2 1?2"x16" strip from Fabric B; use 1 1?4" tip to make folded tape. Make one flower, following the General Directions.

3. Evenly space Fabric A flower petals around edge of circle interfacing. Glue in place.

4. Place Fabric B flower on top of petals for center. Glue in place.

5. Glue or hand-sew beads to center of flower.

6. Make a knot in the center of both rope trim pieces. Lay each cord out on pillow in the shape of a leaf. Stitch in place. Place flower on top of ends of cord. Glue in place.
