A Shockingly, Spooky Halloween Dessert Recipe
Who is planning on a making some spooky treats for Halloween this year? I know I am, and these bleeding eyeball cakes are on the top of my list. Not only are they simple to make but they are so much fun! Hey, everyone! It’s Kara from A Kailo Chic Life and I am going to share with you today the details on making your own eyeball cakes filled with red vanilla pudding.
Although they may look complicated, they are really quite simple to make.
Begin by mixing up your cake batter and baking it in the dome mold. Remove when golden brown and let cool. While the cake is cooling mix the food coloring into your pudding and fill your piping bag fitted with the filling tip.
When the cakes are cool, insert the tip and fill the center of the cakes with the pudding.
Now melt the coating chocolate and use it to coat the cakes. I ended up using a small icing spatula to coat the cakes with the chocolate. While still wet, use a toothpick dipped in red food colorful to add a few veins and then top with a candy eyeball.
Once all the cakes are coated, place in the refrigerator until they are ready to serve.
Your guests will love the realistic looking eyeball cakes and be completely surprised when they cut into them to find they actually bleed!
