Back to School Organization Station

Hello everyone Jen visiting again from Craft-O-Maniac. Who is ready for back to school? Who already has kids back in school? Or who just needs some organization ideas for the kiddos? Well I am here to help with that. My kids go back August 11th. And I have a fun, whimsical tablescape organization space that I have created for them to utilize.

All the supplies, were found at Jo-Ann minus the small & wood symbol and the mini chalkboard, I had those on hand. I was thrilled to find all my supplies at Jo-Ann along with all the kids’ school supplies, i.e. colored pencils, markers, glue sticks, etc.

I have to say I had a ton of fun setting this up. There is something so sweet about school supplies. I just think of children rushing out the door to school with their bouncing back packs as they run, the sound of kids playing at recess, the smell of sharpened pencils and projects with Elmer’s glue and then peeling it off your hand. I love it all.

Below I am sharing a picture of the supplies and what I did. Let’s take a look.

Before and After

Organization Station

I started by taking mason jars from Jo-Ann and placing them in some darling crates. I then opened up all the school supplies and filled up the jars. It’s so easy and fun.

Organization Station

Jo-Ann had their fall foliage silk flowers out, and so once I spotted a cute “ruler” flower vase if you will, I had to grab some silk fall flowers to fill it up. I place a glass vase down in the ruler vase first, and then with some wire cutters I cut some of the silk flowers and added them to the vase.

I also found some cute crayon themed fabric GASP! SO CUTE! And some soft red fabric, and new I had to make a runner. So I made a table runner with some yellow pom pom trim I had at home.

So that is it, and really the most time I spent on this was cutting, pinning, and sewing the runner. Otherwise you are simply filling up jars and making the tablescape look cute. I hope you enjoyed these ideas.
