DIY Kids’ Craft Pine Cone Turkeys
Hello, Jo-Ann fans, Jen visiting with you all from my blog Craft-O-Maniac. Today I am bringing you all something so darn cute and so fun for the kids. This DIY project could be all put together for the kids to assemble with parents help at a fun craft table, this Thanksgiving.
What You Need:
• 1 bag of feathers (more if you have more kids)
• 1 bag of medium to large sized pinecones (more if you have more kids)
• 1 sheet of orange and 1 sheet of red felt
• Googly eyes
• Glue gun
First, you want to start with your feathers. There is no wrong way to do this so let the kids pick out their feathers and help them hot glue them to the back of the pine cone. Next, you will want to hot glue your googly eyes. You can have fun with this step by choosing super small, medium, or large eyes. Let the kids pick and I assure you there will be giggles. Next, you want to cut out two small triangles for the beak; I folded over the felt and cut a corner. Next, you will add a tiny dot of hot glue to each corner of one of the felt pieces, place the other one on top, and then pitch the corners together, so they stick. Next, you will hot glue the beak to the pinecone just under the eyes. Finally, cut out some feet and hot glue those to the bottoms of the pinecone and you are done.
This project is so fun and a great activity to do with the kids on Thanksgiving. Thank you, Jo-Ann, for letting me visit once again, it’s always a pleasure.
