Hi friends! It’s Stef from Girl. Inspired. here today and I am SO excited to share with you a new product line that is starting to hit the shelves – it’s called Buttercream™ and I think you’re going to love it! I had the opportunity to play around with several of the products and I wanted to show you just a couple ideas that you can easily put together using these gorgeous crafting accessories!
I love the idea of taking a basic piece of furniture, canvas, or fabric and turning it into something unique by adding gorgeous accents. Laser stencils and furniture appliques are simple to use and add so much!
I wanted to make a simple little trinket box and it only took me about 15 minutes to turn this basic wood hinged box into a beautiful accent piece for my home.
First, give it a quick coat of chalk paint on the outside and inside. I used the FolkArt chalk paint in Parisian Grey, but there are a variety of chalk paint brands and colors so that you can find your favorite color. Chalk paint dries in just a few minutes and you’re ready for the next step! If you’d like to seal the paint with a wax or clear paint finish, feel free to do that now.
Finally, carefully remove the Buttercream™ furniture appliqués from their packaging (it’s important to read the package instructions on how to remove the appliqués properly so that you do not break the intricate design). Use a small paintbrush to apply a thin layer of wood glue to the back of the pieces and press them into place on the painted wood box. Allow the appliqués a few minutes to dry.
Your accented box is ready to use! How simple was that?!
I filled my box with some cake decorating tips and supplies as I prepare for my daughter’s birthday party. We’re going to do a cake decorating lesson for her party and I love how my new box coordinates so well with all these Buttercream™ party supplies.
From treat cups, water bottle wraps, and cupcake liners to confetti, table runners, and paper fans, there are so many pieces to put together a perfectly coordinated party! All of the Buttercream™ products that I am using are from the “Audrey” color way and they are classy and sophisticated. There are three other color ways as well!
I will definitely be on the lookout for Buttercream™ to make its way into my store! I even noticed that there is going to be FABRIC to coordinate – I can’t wait! What’s the first project that you’ll make with this new product line?
