Easter Bunny Fairy Garden
I am so in love with all of the images of fairy gardens that I keep seeing, I keep telling myself that my daughters and I should really set aside a weekend of fun to make some outdoor fairy magic together. There is something so cute and whimsical about them, it is like adding a touch of magic to your home decor. Fairy gardens allow you to dream, while allowing others who see it to smile and use their own imagination as well. With Easter fast approaching, I thought it might be fun to bring some of this miniature sized charm to our outdoor Seasonal decor for the bunny that would soon be visiting.
A miniature garden for the Easter Bunny
Time Needed: 1 – 2 hours
We will be crafting the following items as an add-on to fairy garden items that can be purchased at your local Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores.
- ‘Easter Bunny’ bunting
- Felt carrots
- Milk pail
Step One – Cut out 2 mirror image miniature carrot shapes from the orange felt. Cut out 1 leafy carrot top from the green felt. Repeat until you have the number of carrots desired.
Step Two – Apply hot glue to one side of orange carrot. Carefully place the bottom of the leafy green stem to the top of your carrot.
Step Three – Quickly place the mirror image orange carrot on top of the hot glue and press gently. Allow to dry.
Slip inside wheelbarrow for extra cuteness factor.
MATERIALS NEEDED TO MAKE MILK PAIL:
● Mini fairy garden tin pail
● Elmer’s glue
Gently squeeze glue into pail and allow to dry. Make sure your pail is on top of a protected surface when doing so.
MATERIALS NEEDED TO MAKE EASTER BUNNY BUNTING:
● Craft paper
● Stamps or marker
● Tape / glue
Step One – Cut out small diamond shapes from craft paper.
Step Two – Using stamps or a marker, mark one side of the diamond shapes with your desired message. I stamped out ‘Easter Bunny’.
Step Three – Cut string to size, and fold the diamond shape over the string. Use a piece of tape, or dot of glue, to secure.
And you are finished! Hang the bunting from 2 sticks found outside, or place your bunny bungalow inside of a crate and attach the bunting to the front!
Either way, it is sure to make people smile and bring magic to your household this Easter. Happy crafting!
