Hi there! Kim from The Celebration Shoppe here, with what my kids have called, “the best cake mommy ever made.” And if you know me, then you know I’ve made a lot of cakes. {wink}

Let’s get crafty!

1. Make Rice Krispies Treats – you’ll need two batches, or at least I do because I love my Rice Krispies Treats to be messy and gooey. Just follow the directions on the marshmallow bag.
2. Butter pans and your hands – while Rice Krispies Treats are still warm, mold them into the pans. Allow them to cool completely.
3. Stack – start with a little marshmallow cream on the cake plate to keep the cake from sliding. As you stack the layers, place a ring of marshmallow cream on the outer lip of each layer to give that running ooey gooey goodness look!
4. Make cake topper – print and cut out cake topper. I recommend photo paper for bright colors and sharp scissors. Half one 10” or 12” skewer and attach to back of topper with washi tape.
5. Insert & sprinkle – insert cake topper in cake and sprinkle edges with Wilton patriotic blend

If your family is anything like mine, this cake won’t last long. By the way, if you’re wondering why I chose “Oh My Stars” for the cake topper, besides the obvious patriotic reference… it’s also my favorite phrase. If you didn’t know, I’m a southern girl. And “Oh My Stars” and sweet tea go together like 4th of July picnics and fireworks. {grin}
As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate!
