Four Ingredient Cheese and Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
For the most part, dinner is the star of a Thanksgiving celebration. With turkey, stuffing and potatoes, it’s easy to focus on the main event. However, in my family, we love to eat all day! It’s part of the Thanksgiving fun – we gather in the kitchen, take turns making special dishes, play games, sip wine and enjoy each others company. This Thanksgiving is especially important for us since my brother and sister-in-law just moved back to America from Australia. We are thrilled to not only share our special time with her, but to show her the best (and first) American Thanksgiving ever!
To get the action going all day long, we try to focus on delicious, simple dishes we can make throughout the day. These Four Ingredient Cheese and Crab Stuffed Mushrooms are seriously simple and incredibly delicious!
The best part? They cook quickly so you aren’t tying up precious oven space or time you could be spending hanging out with your family! It’s quick, delicious and always a showstopper.
I recently found the Wilton Recipe Right pan at my local Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store, and I absolutely love it! It helps cook food quickly because it allows for air to circulate around the food under it. It also keeps your food up and out of pan drippings, so it doesn’t get soggy. It is perfect for meat, vegetables and all sorts of delicious foods.
To make these stuffed mushrooms, you’ll need:
● Wilton Recipe Right Broiler Pan
● Mushrooms, 8 large caps, stems removed
● ½ cup crab claw meat
● ½ cup chevre
● green onions or chives, for garnish
To make the mushrooms:
Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2. In a small bowl, mix crab and chevre. Add salt and pepper if desired.
Step 3. Place on Wilton Recipe Right Broiler Pan (optional – place ½ cup beef or chicken stock and a sprig of thyme in base of pan for extra flavor).
Step 4. Bake until mushroom cap is soft and dark brown, about 20 minutes.
Step 5. Remove and top with diced green onions or chives.
This recipe is easy, simple and so delicious – it is the perfect pre-dinner nosh to enjoy with your special guests!
