Host a Magical Unicorn Slumber Party Breakfast

Unicorns are all the rage right now and I have so many friends hosting unicorn inspired parties for their little girls, and unicorn-inspired slumber parties for their tweens. Today I’m going to share a super fun way to host a unicorn breakfast to wrap up a magical slumber party. Hi! I’m Kim Byers of The Celebration Shoppe. Let’s get crafty and I’ll show you how to create fun and yummy unicorn inspired recipes including Unicorn Parfaits, Unicorn Toast and Unicorn Waffles, all balanced with traditional bacon and eggs for a tasty and semi-healthy meal!

Before we get cooking, you’ll want to hop over to Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores for a few essential party supplies:
Wilton Food Coloring (rose, violet, and blue)
Wilton Lollipop Sticks
Save The Date Cake Plates
Scrapbook Papers
Fabric
Gift Wrap
Gift Bags
• Optional: Cricut Explore Air 2, Iron-On

I suggest decorating your space with mini streamers, balloons, tassels and an interesting fabric or gift wrap for the backdrop to the service table. It makes for a darling space and they’re easy to make. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut out unicorns, stars, and rainbows from purple and glitter cardstock. These elements work great for banners and food toppers when attached to toothpicks with a small glue dot.

For our first recipe, let’s make Unicorn Parfaits. You’ll need a few ingredients with pops of color:
• Strawberries
• Blueberries (I prefer them frozen)
• Fruit Dip
• Whip Cream

They’re so easy to make, let me show you how in this quick video:

To top it off, add one of the paper crafted rainbows made with your Cricut. Or hop over to the paper crafting section in Jo-Ann and look for details in the embellishment section. You can often find lots of treasures there.

For our next recipe, let’s make Unicorn Toast. I’ve seen lots of versions out there, but we’re going to go bright and simple. You’ll need:
Wilton Food Dye (rose, violet, and blue)
• Toothpicks
• Cream Cheese
• Thin Bagels

They’re so easy to make, let me show you how in this quick video:

And finally, we’re going to pull out all the unicorn magic and make Unicorn Waffles. These I will not claim as healthy, but I will bet your guests will love them!

You’ll need:
Wilton Food Dye (rose, violet, and blue)
Wilton Lollipop Sticks
• Waffle Maker & Waffle Mix
• Mixer
Wilton Sprinkles (blue, pink and purple)
• Mini marshmallows
• Marshmallow cream

1. Make waffles. Mix ingredients, separate into three bowls and make in the waffle maker.

2. Cut into quarters.

3. Stack waffles in various colors and top with marshmallow cream, sprinkles, and mini marshmallows.

4. Top with a fun paper unicorn and serve!

You can even whip up some darling treat bags to send the kids home with. You’ll just need the treat bags (in the wedding section), Cricut Iron-On and a Cricut Explore Air 2. I made these in less than 10 minutes. They would even be darling with a little monogram!

Make sure you hop over to Jo-Ann for all your unicorn party needs and pick up a ton of those Save The Date Cake Stands. They are beautiful!

As always, I hope you’re inspired to craft, bake, create and celebrate with Jo-Ann!
