Snowball Bar for Kids
Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to think about New Year’s Eve! Hey, everyone! It’s Kara from A Kailo Chic Life, and I am going to share how to bring the kids in on the NYE celebration by creating a kid-friendly Snowball Bar. This drink station is perfect for kids and adults alike as it is chocked full of tasty treats, sparkling juice, and white “snowball” cocoa.
To make your own snowball bar for NYE or any winter party, start by using a fun white ball flocked cardstock from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores to create a letter banner. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the letters to spell out SNOWBALL BAR and then used tape to hang them up.
After the banner come the drinks! Use white chocolate melts and white chocolate peppermint chocolate balls (they look like edible snowballs) along with warm milk to create the white cocoa. Don’t forget the sparkling juice and plastic champagne flutes for the kids to use to toast the New Year.
You can even add in a few powdered sugar covered cookies and white gumballs for an edible treat to go along with the kids’ drinks.
For decoration, you can use die-cut snowflakes by Heidi Swapp on the wall behind the bar and tie white yarn pom poms to a string for a fun and festive “snowball” bunting. I also added a few foam balls to vases on the bar and around the cubbies of the bar for a little more snowball action.
This bar cart was minimal on the DIY’s (just a few cutout letters and snowball bunting), so it is an easy last minute addition to your NYE celebration that they kids will flip over!
