CUTTING:

  • Label pieces as they are cut. From Template material cut: 3-1/2" square then crosscut the square to create 2 triangles. The triangle templates can be used to trim the trapezoids & diamonds detailed in the cutting instructions below.
  • From Jacobean Floral cut: 3 strips 10-7/8"xWOF. From the strips cut 8 squares 10-7/8"; crosscut each square once to create 16 triangles for Unit 1. 6 strips 3-1/2"xWOF. From the strips cut sixteen 13"x3-1/2" rectangles. Use the templates to cut a 45° triangle piece off both ends of each rectangle to create 16 trapezoids (Example A) for Unit 2.
  • From Linear Paisley, 1-1/2 yd cut: 3 strips 10-7/8"xWOF. From the strips cut 8 squares 10-7/8"; crosscut each square once to create 16 triangles for Unit 3. 6 strips 3-1/2"xWOF. From the strips cut sixteen 13"x3-1/2" rectangles. Use the templates to cut a 45° triangle piece off both ends of each rectangle to create 16 trapezoids (Example A) for Unit 4.
  • From Black-eyed Susan cut: 4 strips 3-1/2"xWOF. From the strips cut sixteen 8"x3-1/2" rectangles. Use the templates to cut a 45° triangle from both ends of each rectangle to create 16 diamonds (Example B) for Unit 5.
  • From Monotone Scroll Green cut: 4 strips 3-1/2"xWOF. From the strips cut sixteen 8"x3-1/2" rectangles. Use the templates to cut a 45° triangle from both ends of each rectangle to create 16 diamonds (Example B) for Unit 6.
  • From Monotone Scroll Blue cut: 4 strips 3-1/2"xWOF. From the strips cut sixteen 8"x3-1/2" rectangles. Use the templates to cut a 45° triangle from both ends of each rectangle to create 16 diamonds (Example B) for Unit 7.
  • From Lilacs cut: 4 strips 3-1/2"xWOF. From the strips cut sixteen 8"x3-1/2" rectangles. Use the templates to cut a 45° triangle from both ends of each rectangle to create 16 diamonds (Example B) for Unit 8.
