Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Large wavy round purple beads
  • 18mm brown acrylic round beads
  • Copper beads: round eye, spiral, multi-faceted, oval rolled
  • Flat round beads
  • Glass bead chips: green, topaz
  • Ceramic oval beads
  • Blue onyx tumbled beads
  • Green/gold heart-shaped glass pendants
  • 1 spool bronze bead string wire, size M
  • Crimp beads
  • Jump rings
  • Copper toggle clasps
  • Wire cutters
  • Pliers: bent-nose, round-nose, flat-nose

DIRECTIONS:

5 strands are made as separate necklaces so they can be worn in any combination. Quantities are not given for supplies as individual creativity will determine beads selected.

STRAND #1

  1. Attach jump ring to loop on 1 side of clasp.
  2. Cut 27" length of bead wire.
  3. String in the following order: crimp bead & thread wire through closed jump ring. String wire end back through same crimp bead. Close crimp bead. Trim excess wire.
  4. Copper oval rolled & 6 glass chip beads.
  5. Ceramic oval bead & glass chip bead; repeat.
  6. Ceramic oval & copper spiral bead.
  7. Copper round eye bead, 18mm brown acrylic bead & round eye bead.
  8. Large wavy round purple bead, copper round eye bead, 18mm brown acrylic round bead & copper round eye bead; repeat twice.
  9. Copper spiral bead & ceramic oval bead.
  10. Glass chip bead followed by one ceramic oval bead; repeat twice.
  11. 6 glass chip beads. Followed by one copper oval rolled bead, crimp bead & carefully set aside.
  12. Attach jump ring to opposite side of the clasp.
  13. Pick up necklace; thread free end of wire through closed jump ring & back through same crimp bead. Pull loop as small as possible and crimp bead. Trim excess wire.

STRAND #2

  1. Attach jump ring to loop on one side of clasp.
  2. Cut 31" length of of bead wire.
  3. String in the following order: one crimp bead and thread wire through closed jump ring. String wire end back through same crimp bead. Close crimp bead. Trim excess wire.
  4. Two copper oval rolled beads, glass chip bead, copper rolled, glass chip bead & copper multi-faceted bead.
  5. Flat round bead, copper multi-faceted bead; repeat 4 times.
  6. Copper spiral bead, copper round eye bead & 5 glass chip beads.
  7. Copper round eye bead, copper spiral bead, copper round eye bead & 12 glass chip beads; repeat.
  8. Copper round eye bead, copper spiral bead, copper round eye bead & 5 glass chip beads.
  9. Copper round eye bead, copper spiral bead & multi-faceted bead.
  10. Flat round bead, multi-faceted bead; repeat 4 times.
  11. Glass chip bead, oval rolled bead, glass chip, 2 oval rolled beads, crimp bead & carefully set aside.
  12. Attach jump ring to opposite side of the clasp. Pick up necklace and thread free end of wire though closed jump ring & back through same crimp bead. Pull loop as small as possible and crimp bead. Trim excess wire.

STRAND #3

  1. Cut a 24" piece of wire.
  2. String a large, wavy round bead and place in center of wire.
  3. Working on each side of the center bead, string in the following order: Multi-faceted bead, green glass bead, spiral bead, green glass bead, multi-faceted bead & acrylic brown bead.
  4. Multi-faceted bead, green glass bead, spiral bead, green glass bead, multi-faceted bead & blue onyx tumbled bead.
  5. Multi-faceted bead, 3 green glass beads, multi-faceted bead, blue onyx tumbled bead, multi-faceted bead,
  6. 3 green glass beads.
  7. Multi-faceted bead & 3 green glass beads; repeat 3 more times. String 2" of round eye beads.
  8. String end of wire through crimp bead and through the end of toggle clasp. Bring end of wire back through the crimp bead and through several beads. Close crimp bead. Repeat for other side of strand. Trim excess wire.

STRAND #4

  1. Cut 27" length of wire.
  2. String oval bead to center of wire. On each side of the oval, string beads in the following order: Multi-faceted bead, green glass bead, multi-faceted bead, one blue onyx tumbled bead; repeat.
  3. Multi-faceted bead, green glass bead, multi-faceted bead & oval bead; repeat twice.
  4. Multi-faceted bead & round bead.
  5. Multi-faceted bead, green glass bead, multi-faceted bead & round bead; repeat 3 times.
  6. String 4" of oval rolled beads.
  7. String end of wire through a crimp bead and through a toggle clasp. Bring wire end back through the crimp bead and through several of the strung beads. Close crimp bead. Repeat for other end of wire. Trim excess wire.

STRAND #5

  1. Cut 27" length of wire. String crimp bead & end of toggle clasp on wire. String wire end back through same crimp bead. Close crimp bead.
  2. String 8" of topaz glass chip beads on wire.
  3. String spiral bead, topaz glass chip bead, glass pendant heart, topaz glass chip bead & spiral bead.
  4. Add 1" of topaz glass beads, spiral bead, 1" of topaz glass beads, glass pendant heart & topaz glass chip bead.
  5. String end of wire back through glass pendant heart & topaz glass chip bead.
  6. Repeat stringing beads in reverse order to match opposite side of strand.
  7. String wire through crimp bead and through remaining toggle clasp. String end back through crimp bead & through beads as desired. Close crimp bead. Trim excess wire.
