Terrible product
Frequent issues with getting cables to screw on to needles. Can't use the smallest cable on any needle, will not screw on all the way. When I can get them to fit, they frequently come unscrewed while knitting, which has gotten worse the longer i've used them on this project. The key has also already broken while trying to get the poorly fitting needles to screw together. I'm past my return window, so unfortunately going in the trash.

Great product when assembled as intended
I was kind of skeptical about buying this after reading all the negative reviews, but figured if I didn’t like it I can always return it. I am very glad I bought it because it’s a great product; the users that claim the needles come loose, there are gaps, etc. are not using it correctly.
This indeed does not come with instructions nor with a chart explaining what part is which (which is a huge failure on the manufacturer’s part). As evidenced by most reviews, this has caused many unhappy customers and negative reviews that could have been easily prevented by simply including instructions. The only way I knew exactly how to work it was by reading the other reviews and watching a video (a review for very high end circular needle sets which explained the connecting process).
Give this a chance using it correctly:
1. To attach a needle, take the cable and twist it into the needle. It may not go all the way in; take the key (pin looking part in the set), insert it into one of the small holes in the connector, and twist clockwise until you feel resistance. Do not twist too tight. The gap should close and the needle should be locked in place.
2. To remove it, take the black rubber piece and wrap it around the needle while holding the cable, and twist counterclockwise, like using a jar opener.

Screws wouldn't fit the needles
Was happy with this set until I tried putting the needles onto the cables, some didn't fit, tried each side for them and some of the needles simply won't screw on, almost like the thread size of the screw isn't correct.

Not perfect but works for me
Have used these needles for years. Complaints about needles coming loose are due to not installing the needles firmly. Learned this one the hard way, but once I learned how to install the needles... Occasionally they do come loose but you can feel it as you knit. Take a moment to tighten. Just be smarter than what you are working with.
The only real problem for me is how the yarns do not flow more smoothly over the connectors.
One wish tho, more cables & longer cables. Like many, I have more than one project going on at the same time and having more and longer cables would just tickle me pink, as the expression goes.

I love them!
I like these a lot! Finally, the perfect circulars for every project, the right needle size and cable length! I have not had any trouble w/ them unscrewing, but they can be hard to screw in the first time & did not come w/ any instructions. Personally I prefer metal needles. The cable can be a bit stiff at first, but that's the same w/ any circs as they "relax" as you use them. Buying these is certainly cheaper than lots of individuals that you may never use again for another project. Whatever you make you will have the right needles to start and finish the project!

Circular Interchangeable Knitting Needle System
I saw this at Joann's and after looking at the prices of the individual knitting needles this was a steal. You can't find all the sizes that comes in this package as an individual needle.

Wonderful set of knitting needles--all sizes at your fingertips. The extensions make it very comfortable to knit a wide afghan. I am about half way through an afghan and I look forward to working on it with these needles and extension cables--no crowding. I would recommend these to any avid knitter.

Kept coming apart
I love having all the different sizes organized into one case. The only problem I have encountered is that one of the needles kept coming unscrewed from the cable when knitting in the round for a cap. I learned to keep checking that it was totally screwed together half-way around each round.
