Boye Starter Aluminum Crochet Hook Set-Size G, H, I is rated 2.7777777777777777 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good hooks to start with These hooks are great for beginners and those who don't work for long periods of time on certain projects. The only complaints I have about them is that they made my thumb sore where it rubbed on the lettering for the brand, and that my hand cramped up after a while holding the hooks in the same position for extended periods of time. Other than these two things, this product isn't really bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intermediate Beginner I have tried several different brands of hooks, but find that Boye works best for me. I prefer the rounded edge of the hook at the top of the hook over the flat edge on the Susan Bates hooks. I find that I can crochet much more quickly with Boye than any other hooks. I just wish that Boye made an aluminum "M" hook.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Horrible hooks! I have no idea how anyone crochets with these hooks. I learned on Susan Bates and bought not only these to try, but some smaller sizes as well. Catches the yarn, splits the yarn, and I could not even do one single crochet stitch without having to go through each loop individually. If you are a beginner definitively get a Susan Bates hook instead. You will make such perfect even stitches and you can really fly with them. These are worthless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boye is for me I learned how to crochet using these hooks and will continue to only use Boye hooks. The shape works best for me and I can work quickly with it.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Stick with Susan Bates! I have been crocheting for over 30 years, and teach crochet as well. The shape of the hook splits the yarn, and makes crochet most difficult. The point on the Bates hook makes for quicker work and less split yarn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Hooks I have ever tried As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with these hooks, since they get such good reviews, but I HATE them. I learned to crochet on them, and that's why I quit for 3 years, until I found Susan Bates Crystalite hooks, and I would not recommend these hooks to anyone, especially those starting out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only crochet hooks I use As a very experienced crocheter, I would like to recommend these crochet hooks to anyone having trouble with the Susan Bates flat hooks. The head is narrow and smooth and is pointed in both directions to allow for extremely fast crocheting. I've tried them all, and can say that any other brand of hook slows me down considerably! I absolutely will not use any other crochet hooks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boyne hooks are not worth my effort. I am an experienced crocheter but I have never been successful in attempting to crochet with any Boyne hook. The shape of the hook head is fat and it splits the yarn as well as causes me to drop stitches. I have tried to crochet really slow, but I still have problems. I have attempted to use this brand of hooks for years, but have never been successful. I usually become so frustrated I just give up. Boyne hooks are very easy to find, I just wish they were easier to work with.
