The SM2700 is a lightweight, portable sewing machine with a full set of built-in sewing features and included accessories. Perfect for beginner to more advanced sewers, it offers the versatility of 27 built-in stitches, with 63 stitch functions. Included are blind hem, decorative and quiliting stitches, and an automatic, one-step buttonholer. Included are 6 quick-change sewing presser feet: buttonhole, zipper, button sewing, zigzag, narrow hemmer and blind stitch feet. Designed for ease of use, this model comes with a built-in easy needle threader, jam-resistant Quick-Set top drop-in bobbin, and an automoatic bobbin winding system. Includes instructional DVD and English and Spanish user manual.

It is easy & quick to wind the bobbins and thread the machine, you'll be ready to begin sewing immediately. The quick set up booklet was easy to read and the pictures helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little machine, even for inexperienced folks I have not sewn since 8th grade home economics class, until I bought this machine. I love it! Directions in the manual are pretty clear and I haven't had any problems. I managed to break my first sewing needle yesterday trying to sew through multiple layers of heavy denim, so I got to change the needle for the first time. It went smoothly - again, the instruction manual is pretty good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Machine I bought this sewing machine in Aug. as I needed to replace my previous one, since I only do basic sewing and craft work I did not need a fancy machine and did not want one that was computerized, after finding this and reading the very good reviews I bought it and have been quite happy with it, the threading is quite easy and the drop in bobbin has presented no problems, the tension has been about prefect on all kinds of fabric from satin to faux leather with little adjustment. I have not done any projects with the fancy stitches only tried them out on scrap fabric so far. Overall this machine can do quite a lot for a reasonable price and is really great for a beginner as well!
