Buggy Jack-O-Lantern Sandwich Cookies

1. Prepare cookie. Prepare cookie dough following recipe directions. Tint orange. Use rolling pin to roll out dough 1/8" thick. Use pumpkin cutter from set to cut two shapes for each cookie. Use spoon to place 2 tablespoons jam onto center of one cookie, and use spatula to spread over top to within 1/4" of edges. Use triangle and mouth cutter from set to cut out facial features on remaining cookie shape. Use damp brush to cover edges of cookie. Position jack-o’-lantern face on top; lightly press edges to seal.
2. Bake cookies. Preheat oven to 350º F. Bake cookies approximately 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Place pan on cooling grid and carefully angle pan so that warm jam drips out of openings of eyes, nose and mouth.
3. Decorate cookies. Carefully add sprinkles. Allow cookies to cool completely.
