Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent sub for Wool Ease, not for the price tho I recently became obsessed with Wool Ease Thick and Quick. However, my local Joann was out of almost every color due to the yarn sale. I wanted pink to match the colors I *did* manage to get from Wool Ease but they didn't have it. So I grabbed this instead. Everything is pretty much the same as Wool Ease - my gauge is pretty much exact too. However, despite them both being 80/20, Wool Ease is by FAR the softer of the two. The scratchiness of the acrylic is more noticeable in this one. It'll have to do though, as I bought two skeins and don't have time to wait a month for Joann to ship me a pink Wool Ease. The colors are absolutely gorgeous though!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from White hairs exploding out I bought two colors of this for winter hats. There are long white hairs sticking out all over the place. Like if you weaved in Great Pyrenees hair into the yarn. Very soft. Very warm. But little white hairs shooting out all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm soft and fuzzy This yarn was a pleasure to work with. It works up so quickly. I made my first project without a pattern with this yarn. Will be super warm for the cold days ahead. I think I have enough leftover from each skein I used to make another hat with the rust color being dominant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Returned after my first 9 stitches. This yarn sheds little white fibers. The hairs stick out of the work like it’s been sat on by a golden retriever.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Rebranding Changed the Product I originally bought a skein of this yarn about a year ago when it was still under the brand: “Buttercream”. It was incredibly soft and thick. I am just using the skein now as I didn’t have plans for it in the past. I ended up needing another skein of it so I went to Joann’s to find out it was rebranded as “K & C”. The new “K & C” version of this yarn is far less soft than the yarn before the rebrand, it is somewhat scratchy now. The thickness of the yarn after the rebrand is also very noticeable. The “K & C” yarn is way thinner than the previously named “Buttercream” yarn, despite the skeins being the same size on the label. Since I’m working on a project with pre and post rebranded yarn, there is a noticeable difference in thickness and texture as I’m moving along with the new yarn and it’s less than ideal. I’m disappointed because this yarn has always been on the more expensive side and yet the quality seemed to go down while the price remains the same.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very unpleasant This is a really unpleasant yarn. I only gave it the second star because it is strong. It felt soft to the touch when I first picked it up, but it's actually very scratchy and is tearing up my fingers to work with. It's low quality and as others have mentioned, sheds terribly. I need this color to finish a project when K&C discounted the other "Angel Hair" yarn I was using, and while the color is a great match, it has made my handmade baby gift that I've put SO many hours into scratchy and disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sheds so much! I purchased between 10 and 12 skeins of KC knit and crochet Alpaca yarn. I spent many hours creating a sweater, only to have this product shed so badly I can not wear it. I spent over $100 on the yarn alone. I have tried everything to get it to stop shedding, to no avail. Alpaca fibers are flying everywhere. This is the worst product I have ever used. Not to mention, it's quite scratchy on exposed skin. I spent so much time and money on this sweater and I am beyond disappointed that I can not wear it.
