Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Size 8, 16" circular knitting needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Deborah Norville® Serenity Chunky Sequins Yarn (Black Ice)
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • 1/2 yd. camouflage printed knit fabric
  • Black sewing thread

DIRECTIONS:

Size:
Circumferences: top cuff - 12"; fabric portion - 12" finished; bottom cuff - 12" slightly stretched
Length – top of cuff – 4"; fabric portion – 12-1/2"; bottom cuff – 2"

KNIT CUFFS:
Gauge: 3 stitches & 4-1/2 rows = 1"
Stitch used: 1 x 1 rib
TOP CUFF:
Cast on 40 stitches, join, place marker to show beginning of round
Knit 4" in 1 x 1 rib.
Round 1 [K1, P1] repeat around
All other rounds: repeat round 1
Bind off in pattern.
ANKLE CUFF:
Cast on 32 stitches, join, place marker to show beginning of round.
Knit 2" in 1 x 1 rib.
Round 1 [K1, P1] repeat around
All other rounds: repeat round 1.
Bind off in pattern.
Finish ends.

FABRIC SECTION:
Cut rectangle measuring 13" width and 13-1/2" length.
With right sides together fold fabric in half to 6-1/2"x13-1/2". Sew long edge using 1/2" seam allowance and a zigzag stitch.

FINISHING:
Note: Cuffs or fabric may need to be slightly stretched to ease sewing.

TOP CUFF

Attach bound off edge of cuff to top of tube. Pin wrong side of cuff to right side of fabric
with 1/2" overlap. Zigzag stitch 1/4" from bottom of cuff.

BOTTOM CUFF:

Attach bound off edge of cuff to bottom of tube. Pin wrong side of cuff to right side
of fabric with 1/2" overlap. Zigzag stitch 1/4" from bottom of cuff.
