  • Susan Bates® Steel Crochet Hook: size 7
  • Tapestry needle
  • 10 dyed Jasper amethyst round 6mm beads
  • 10 pink seed beads
  • Beading needle
  • Sewing thread
  • 2 antique brass fishhook earring wires
  • Needle nosed pliers


GAUGE: 3 rows = 1"CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.

NOTE:First ch-4 always counts as first tr; first ch-3 counts as first dc.

Earrings measures 1-1/2" x 1-1/4"

EARRING (Make 2):
Row 1:
Ch 5, work 6 tr in 5th ch from hook; turn – 7 tr.

Row 2 (Right Side):
Ch 3, dc in same tr, [dc in next 2 tr, 2 dc in next tr] twice; turn – 10 dc.

Row 3:
Ch 5 (counts as first tr and ch 1), [tr in next dc, ch 1] 8 times; tr in last dc; turn – 10 tr and 9 ch-1 spaces.

Row 4:
Ch 1, sc in each tr and ch-1 space across – 19 sc. Fasten off.

Starch if desired. With sewing thread on beading needle, space 6mm jasper beads evenly across Row 4 using seed beads as anchors. With needle nosed pliers, open loop on earring wires and close over starting ch at tip of triangle.
