SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Blue Moon Beads cherry blossom charm
  • 1 tube semi-precious amazonite chips
  • 2 strands 4mm glass beads
  • 1 tube 6/0 Czech glass beads, turquoise luster
  • 1 spool Tiger tail
  • Eight 1.3mm crimp beads
  • 6mm spring clasp
  • Two 4mm jump rings
  • Two 6mm closed jump rings
  • Bent-nose, crimp & flat-nose pliers
  • Wire cutters
  • Bead board (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut two 21" strands of tiger tail.
  2. Thread 1 crimp bead onto 1 end of 1 tiger tail strand. Next, thread same end through 1 bottom loop of charm & back through same crimp bead. Pull through leaving 1" tail. Close crimp bead with crimp pliers. DO NOT TRIM TAIL.
  3. Repeat step 2 for second tiger tail strand, but thread tiger tail through second bottom loop on charm.
  4. String beads onto strands. String beads over 1" tail to conceal. For top strand, string 13" of beads. For lower strand, string 16" of beads.
  5. Once beads are on the strand, string 1 crimp bead & 1 closed 6mm jump ring, in that order. String the end back through the crimp bead to form loop around the jump ring. Pull loop smaller around jump ring, but not too snugly. Keep last bead close to crimp bead. Trim excess.
  6. Repeat step 5 for 2nd strand. Attach both strands to same 6mm closed jump ring.
  7. Cut two 8" strands of tiger tail.
  8. String one crimp bead onto 1 end of 8" tiger tail. Thread same end through top loop on charm and back through the same crimp bead. Leave 1" tail. Close crimp bead using crimp pliers. DO NOT TRIM TAIL.
  9. Repeat step 8 for second 8" strand. These strands will be attached to the same loop on the charm.
  10. String beads on both strands for 3-3/4".
  11. String 1 crimp bead & 1 closed 6mm jump ring. Go back through same crimp bead to make loop around jump ring. Pull loop smaller around jump ring, but not snug. Keep last bead close to crimp bead. Trim excess.
  12. Repeat step 11 to finish other strand. These strands will be attached to same 6mm closed jump ring.
  13. Attach one 4mm jump ring to 6mm jump ring on both sides of necklace.
  14. To finish, attach one 6mm spring clasp to one 4mm jump ring.
