SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 4mm oxidized brass round beads
  • 4mm silver round beads
  • 4mm black nickel round beads
  • 4mm copper round beads
  • Silver chain
  • Large 5-loop clasp
  • Silver eyepins
  • Round nose pliers
  • Flat nose pliers
  • Side cutters

DIRECTIONS:

1. Start by creating connectors by sliding one black nickel, one copper, one silver, one ox brass, and another black nickel round bead onto an eyepin and forming a simple loop. Repeat until you have 36 connectors.
2. Cut small lengths of chain in the following number of links:
    a. 2 links : cut 3
    b. 3 links: cut 31
    c. 4 links: cut 4
    d. 5 links: cut 4
    e. 6 links: cut 3
3. Start assembling the bracelet. This bracelet has a total of 9 strands. From left to right, this is how each of the 9 strands are connected:
    a. 6 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 2 links.
    b. 5 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links.
    c. 4 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 4 links.
    d. 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 5 links.
    e. 2 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 6 links.
    f. 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 5 links.
    g. 4 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 4 links.
    h. 5 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links.
    i. 6 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 3 links, one connector, 2 links.
4. Connect the end to the 5-loop clasp by opening and closing the last link of each chain. Each of the 5 loops get two chain links connected to it, except the middle loop, which stands alone.
5. As a final optional step, connect the 3-link chains that are in-between each of the beaded connectors together to each other with jump rings, to hold the bracelet tightly together so while wearing it the strands would not slide apart and it would make the chevrons more evident.
