CHEVRON SKIRT

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Purl Essence Sincerely (6oz / 170g /295m / 322 yds)
    • Light Grey – 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2) balls (A)
    • Black – 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2) balls (B)
    • White – 1 ball, all sizes (C)
  • Straight needles US Size 8 (5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
  • One - 26 (27-1/2, 31, 35, 39, 43, 46)” 2” width of elastic fabric
  • Sewing needle & thread
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Tape measure

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Hip: 35-3/4 (38-1/2, 41-1/4, 44, 46-3/4, 55, 57-3/4”)
Waist: 26 (27-1/2, 31, 35, 39, 43, 46)”
Length: 18” (Note: length is easily adjustable)

GAUGE:

Row 1 (RS): * Ssk, k4, m1, k1, m1, k4, k2tog; rep from * to end.
Row 2: Purl.
Rep rows 1-2 for patt.

Stripe Sequence
* 4 rows A, 2 rows C, 4 rows B, 2 rows C; rep from * to end

With A, cast on 171 (184, 197, 210, 213, 236, 249) sts. Work 4 rows even in Garter st. Next row (RS): K1, work row 1 of chevron stitch to last st, end k1. Work even in patt and stripe sequence until piece measures 15”, or approximately 3” shorter than total desired length. Dec row (RS): With A, knit, dec 61 (68, 65, 62, 57, 54, 53) sts evenly around – 110 (116, 132, 148, 166, 182, 196) sts rem. Work even in St st until piece measures 16”, ending after a WS row.

Band
Next row (RS): With C, knit. Purl 1 WS row. Rep these 2 rows until band measures 2”, ending after a RS row. Next row (WS): Knit. Cont in St st for 2 rows. Bind off all sts loosely.

FINISHING:

Sew side seam and weave in ends. Insert elastic fabric into band, fold band, and whipstitch band to inside of skirt. Wash skirt and block to finished measurements.

PINK CANDY TANK

Cast on 72 (80, 90, 98, 106, 114, 124) sts. Knit 1 row (WS). Work even in Garter st for 4 more rows. Next row (WS): Purl. Work even in St st until piece measures 14 (14-1/2, 14-1/2, 15, 15, 15-1/2, 15-1/2)”, ending after a WS row.

Shape Armholes
At beg of next 2 rows, bind off 4 (6, 8, 8, 8, 10, 12) sts. Dec row (RS): K1, k2togtbl, knit to last 3 sts, end k2tog, k1 – 2 sts dec’d. Purl 1 WS row. Rep these 2 rows. 5 (6, 7, 9, 9, 9, 9) more times – 54 (56, 60, 66, 72, 76, 82) sts rem. Work even in St st until armhole measures 7 (7-1/2, 8, 8-1/2, 9, 9-1/4, 9-1/2)”, ending after a WS row. Bind off all sts.

FRONT
Work as for Back until armhole measures 4 (4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2, 6, 6-1/4, 6-1/2)”, ending after a WS row.

Shape Neck
Next row (RS): K18 (19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30) sts, join new ball of yarn and bind off 18 (18, 18, 20, 20, 20, 22) sts, knit to end. Shape Right Neck: Purl 1 WS row. Dec row (RS): K1, k2togtbl, knit to end – 1 st dec’d. Purl 1 WS row. Rep these 2 rows, 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6,) more times – 13 (13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23) sts rem. Work even in St st until armhole measures 7 (7-1/2, 8, 8-1/2, 9, 9-1/4, 9-1/2)”, ending after a WS row. Bind off all sts. Shape Left Neck: Work as for Right Neck, rev all shaping.

FINISHING:

Sew shoulder and side seams.

Armhole Edging
With RS facing, beg at side seam pick up and knit 58 (62, 66, 70, 74, 76, 78) sts evenly around. Knit 3 rows. Bind off all sts loosely. Rep for opposite armhole. Sew seam along underarm.

Weave in all ends and block lightly to finished measurements.

BRACELET IN CHEVRONS

  • Purl Essence Sincerely (100% acrylic; 6oz / 170g /295m / 322 yds)
  • Light Grey – 1 ball (A)

Bracelet
With A, cast on 36 (38, 40, 42) sts. Knit 2 rows. With B, knit 2 rows. With A, knit 1 row. Purl 1 row (WS). Work even in St st until piece measures 1-1/2”, ending after a WS row. Next row (RS): With B, knit 2 rows. With A, knit 2 rows. Bind off all sts.

FINISHING:

Weave in ends. Sew snaps to outside edges of bracelet. Using duplicate stitch and B, embroider chevrons on bracelet, if desired.
