Triangle Box (E):

  • Fabric Traditions Striped Christmas fabric, 10"x12"
  • Piece of poster board, 10"x12"
  • Piece of HeatnBond fusible web, 10"x12"
  • 1/2 yd of 1/2" Green ribbon
  • 3 Poinsettias and 3 rhinestones
  • Glue gun & glue sticks*
  • Iron and ironing surface
  • Ruler

*Hot glue gun should only be used with adult supervision.

Large And Medium Gift Bags (A):

  1. Carefully unglue the gift bag to open out flat for use as a pattern. Remove the handles.
  2. Measure the length and width of the bag. Cut fabric and HeatnBond two inches larger than the bag in all directions.
  3. Iron the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the fabric, following the manufacturer's directions. Trace the bag on to the back of the fabric. Allow 2 extra inches at the top of the bag to fold over. Cut out the fabric.
  4. Following the HeatnBond manufacturer's directions, iron the fabric on to the bag, folding the 2" at the top to the back.
  5. Fold the bag along the original fold lines and glue back together.
  6. Following the manufacturer's directions, insert grommets where the handles were. String ribbon through for handles 7. Decorate as desired.

Pillow-Shaped Box (B) Large Box:

  1. Iron the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the fabric.
  2. Following the HeatnBond manufacturer's directions, iron the fabric on to the poster board.
  3. Transfer the large pillow box pattern on the poster board including the inside lines. Cut the box out.
  4. Using a ruler and a butter knife, score all inside lines.
  5. Fold the side tab in and glue to the box side.
  6. To close the box, tuck one oval-shaped tab under the other and glue in place.
  7. Insert the gift and close the other side.
  8. To curl the ribbon, wrap around a pencil. Slip pencil out the end. Glue the ribbon onto the box.
  9. Glue flowers on top of the ribbon and glue a rhinestone in the center of each flower.

Small Gift Bag (C):

  1. Enlarge pattern approx 400% -- bag height between fold lines should be about 4.5"
  2. Cut fabric, poster board and HeatnBond each to 10"x21". Iron the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the fabric. Remove the paper backing and iron the fabric to the poster board.
  3. Transfer the pattern to the poster board including the inside lines. Cut the bag out and snip the top of the bag to the large dots.
  4. Using a ruler and a butter knife score all the inside lines.
  5. Fold the top of the bag down along the score line and glue in place.
  6. Fold the side tab in and glue to the bag side.
  7. Fold the bottom ends in, and then fold the back and front over them. Glue to hold together.
  8. For handles, put the grommets, two to a side, near the top. Cut the ribbon in half and tie each half through the grommets for the handle.
  9. Glue the boa around the top of the bag.
  10. Fill as desired.

Small Box:

  1. Follow steps one through seven above.
  2. Glue the tassel to the corner of the box.
  3. Wrap the braid around the top of the tassel and across the top of the box, glue in place. Enlarge approx. 200% before using -- width should be 7.25".

Square Gift Boxes (D):

For Both boxes:

  1. Iron the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the fabric. Remove the paper backing and iron the fabric to the poster board.
  2. The large box pattern provided is a half pattern. To make the whole pattern fold paper that is twice the pattern size in half and pin the half pattern piece on to the paper lining up the fold lines. Cut the pattern out.
  3. Transfer both box patterns to the poster board including the inside lines. Cut the boxes out.
  4. Using a ruler and a butter knife score all inside lines.
  5. Make holes at the dots in each corner using the hole punch.
  6. Fold the sides up and run the ribbon through, tying the ends together on the inside.
  7. Tie string through the metal- rimmed tags and tie to the box.
  8. Fill as desired. Small Square Gift Box Enlarge approx 200% before using -- overall height or width should be 6" Large Square Gift Box Enlarge approx 200% before using -- height should be 3.375".

Triangle Box (E):

  1. Iron the HeatnBond to the wrong side of the fabric. Remove the paper backing and iron the fabric to the poster board.
  2. Transfer the triangle box pattern on to the poster board including the inside lines. Cut the box out. Using a ruler and a butter knife score all the inside lines.
  3. Fold the side tab in and glue to the box side.
  4. To close the box, tuck tab A under tab B; then tuck tab under tab C, using a small drop of glue to hold them in place.
  5. Insert the gift and close the other end.
  6. Glue the ribbon across the box.
  7. Glue poinsettias on the ribbon evenly spacing them, glue rhinestones to the center of each flower. Triangle Box Enlarge approx 200% before using -- overall width should be 7".
