DIRECTIONS:

Before getting started, determine desired colors for finished bar.

For custom blend colors follow the below guide:
3 parts yellow + 1 part red = orange
2 parts red + 1 part blue = purple
3 parts yellow + 1 part blue = green

1. Assemble loaf. Place one of the long grooved sides flat on the table with the groove facing up. Place the two short grooved pieces into the wide grooves on either end of the longer piece on the table with the grooves facing in. Slide the solid bottom of the mold into the grooves taking care that the bottom is snugly in place. Take the other long side and place it on top making sure the grooved side is facing down. Place the screws into the slots and slowly tighten them so that the mold is held together snugly. Be careful not to tighten the screws too much or the mold will bend out of shape and leak.
2. Make the Chunks”. To make the chunks make a layered loaf first by following the below instructions.
     a. Layer one. Melt, fragrance and color about 2 cups of clear soap according to melting instructions. Add approximately 20 drops of fragrance and mix well. Select a color and add a few drops at a time until desired shade is reached. Be sure to mix well. Pour into the loaf mold and let set approximately 1 hour. If bubbles appear, spritz with alcohol and the bubbles will disappear.
     b. Second layer. Melt, fragrance and color about 2 cups of clear soap according to melting instructions. Add approximately 20 drops of fragrance and mix well. Select the second color and add a few drops at a time until desired shade is reached. Be sure to mix well. Pour into the loaf mold and let set approximately 1 hour. If bubbles appear, spritz with alcohol and the bubbles will disappear.
     c. Final layer. Melt, fragrance and color about 2 cups of clear soap according to melting instructions. Add approximately 20 drops of fragrance and mix well. Select the color for the final layer and add a few drops at a time until desired shade is reached. Be sure to mix well. Pour into the loaf mold and let set approximately 1 hour. If bubbles appear, spritz with alcohol and the bubbles will disappear.
     d. Make the chunks. Disassemble the mold and cut the soap into chunks of various shapes and sizes. Set aside.

3. Finish the loaf. Melt, color and fragrance approximately 4 cups of the double butter white soap base according to the melting instructions. Use about 40 drops of fragrance and no color in the white soap. While the soap is melting, reassemble the loaf. Pour a small amount of melted white soap into the bottom of the loaf mold.

4. Spritz the cut up chunks with alcohol. Begin sprinkling the chunks into the loaf mold filling the mold all the way with chunks. Immediately pour the melted white soap over the top filling the mold completely. If bubbles appear, spritz with alcohol and the bubbles will dissipate.

5. Let the soap set for 1 - 2 hours, then disassemble the loaf mold. Slice the loaf into bars of desired thickness and wrap snugly with clear plastic wrap to preserve the freshness of the bar until ready to use it. Wrap with decorative papers and ribbons for gift giving.
6. There should be enough chunks left over to make another soap loaf. Repeat processing of finishing the loaf.
