Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Tissue paper
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Napkin rings or paper towel roll- cut into 1" pieces
  • Ruler
  • Thin wire (floral wire)

DIRECTIONS:

    Fringe Tassel
  1. Cut 4 - 2" x 9" strips of tissue paper in choice of colors.
  2. Cut 1-1/2" deep slits across length to create fringe.
  3. Fold in half lengthwise, then half 1-2 more times taking with glue.
  4. Roll folded length and glue.
  5. Repeat 2-4 for remaining 3 strips.
  6. Glue to napkin ring around a center point to create a burst.

    Puff
  1. Cut 8 - 4"-6" squares, depending on how large the finished product will be, choice of colors.
  2. Stack squares and accordion fold, making the folds approximately 1/2" width.
  3. Snip ends to create a point.
  4. Wrap wire around center of folded stack.
  5. Pull apart each layer of tissue paper very gently.
  6. Fluff and glue to napkin ring.

    Flower
  1. Cut:
    • 2 – 5" green squares.
    • 8 – 4" squares, choice of color for flower petals.
  2. Fold all squares into quarters, fold in half twice more to end up with a wedge shaped piece, trim unfolded edge strait.
  3. For the green pieces, cut unfolded edge to a point.
  4. For the petals, cut unfolded in a semicircle.
  5. Unfold.
  6. Stagger stack the green pieces and glue.
  7. Pinch a petal in the middle and glue to center of the green piece.
  8. Repeat for the rest of the petals, glue them around the center petal.
  9. Optional, add a sprig of orange or yellow paper in the middle.
  10. Pinch the bottom middle and glue to napkin ring.

    Fringe Puff
  1. Cut 8 - 9" squares, depending on how large the finished product will be, choice of colors.
  2. Stack squares and accordion fold, making the folds approximately 1" width.
  3. Cut slits on unfolded edges approx. 3" down length and approx. 1/2" apart.
  4. Wrap with wire in the middle.
  5. Pull apart each layer of tissue paper very gently.
  6. Fluff and glue to napkin ring.
Tip:
Paint or use tissue paper to wrap the napkin rings/paper towel rolls
