  • Patons® Classic Wool Roving (3.5 oz; 120 yds): Cherry, 3 balls
  • Size U.S. 10-1/2 knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension
  • Cable needle

DIRECTIONS:

TENSION
14 sts and 18 rows = 4' in stocking st.
MEASUREMENTS

Approx. 8' wide x 26' around.

1. Cable Panel A (worked over 18 sts)
2. 1st row: (RS). Knit.
3. 2nd and alt rows: Purl.
4. 3rd and 5th rows: Knit.
5. 7th row: K6. C12B.
6. 9th, 11th and 13th rows: Knit.
7. 15th row: C12F. K6.
8. 16th row: Purl.
These 16 rows form Cable Panel A.
9. Cable Panel B (worked over 18 sts)
10. 1st row: (RS). Knit.
11. 2nd and alt rows: Purl.
12. 3rd row: C12B. K6.
13. 5th, 7th and 9th rows: Knit.
14. 11th row: K6. C12F.
15. 13th and 15th rows: Knit.
16. 16th row: Purl.
These 16 rows form Cable Panel B.

Cast on 54 sts.
1. 1st row: (RS). Work 1st row of Cable Panel A. Work 1st row of Cable Panel
B. Work 1st row of Cable Panel A.
2. 2nd row: Work 2nd row of Cable Panel A. Work 2nd row of Cable Panel B.
Work 2nd row of Cable Panel A.
Cable Panel A and B are now in position.
Continue until work measures approx 26', ending with a 16th row of Cable Panel. Cast off.
Sew cast on and cast off edges together.
