Rated 5 out of 5 by Linda from I am a retired Home Economics teacher and I used Coats & Clark dual duty thread with my sewing classes for 33 years. These last three boxes I purchased were for my three granddaughters. I gave each of them a sewing machine for Christmas and I wanted them to have good, reliable, lasting thread. Coats & Clark has been my thread of choice for many years and I hope my granddaughters will think so too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clairede from Great variety I've been fooling around with my sewing machine on and off for years but I recently invested in a good machine and want to get serious about learning. This set provides great variety for everyday projects. I can go shop fabrics and know I have something at home to coordinate. The spools are shorter than I'm used to so if you're sewing a lot of ruffles/gathers keep that I'm mind and plan accordingly. For reference one spool did almost this entire dress with rolled hems. I would recommend this set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mitzi from Fabulous Essential Set!! I also got 2 similar spools. They look the same but they arent. You actually get #9367 Mexicana & #9365 Teaberries. I emailed C&C and told them what was missing (9265 Neon Green). They replied 4 days later; apologized & sent me the neon green so if this happens to you; just shoot them over an email (I DIRECTLY contacted C&C through their website.) The quality is great as usual & value is fabulous based on how many spools you get. The box opens down the side (like a lid) & has Velcro dots. Underneath each spool is the # & name of each color so you will not have to find new storage unless you want to. Shipping was slow (Joann cant seem to fix their search issue online or ship fast) I too used a coupon. Worth the discount!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sara from quality control received product today. was impressed with color selection, but angered to see that instead of supplying the stated neon green thread, i was given a second spool of mexicana varigated. it would do no good to return it, as its not joanns problem but coats & clarks. that was a color i needed for my next project and to not get what is advertised is annoying. the spools are also small only 125 yards, a good set to learn to sew with and try different colors, but definitely not for quality pieces.
