PJ 12/16/12. Your review saved me. I was looking for a white Color Box ink pad. Now I will keep looking, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Sad that Color Box does not always live up to their reputation
I love all my Colorbox ink pads, but the Frost White is a different beast entirely. It is gummy and no matter how hard you try it gums up your stamps. I'm not alone as I've searched and have only come across one person that says they don't have a problem with it. Save yourself a big headache and try Moonlight or something else
Kewl you should come up with that. Exlceelnt!
I used these pads for a Fall project at work. Love the unusual colors the best. They make my project snap.
I started experimenting with stamping about 18 months ago and have tried a variety of products. These are the only ones with which I get a consistently quality result. The only brand I'll buy from now on.
I love the colors & the ink works great. I just got a pigment ink from Stampin' Up & was so disappointed because it was terrible compared to ColorBox.
I have always been happy with ColorBox ink pads; I own a bunch of them in varying sizes. As other reviewers have said, the color choices are many, the ink quality is top notch and they work great with embossing powders. I also love the fact that you can go to their web site and buy re-inkers to keep your pads fresh with color - I hate to throw away something that can be recycled.
I have been tempted to try other ink pads since I have been using embossing powders and have been disappointed with everything else out there I have tried. These inks do not simply soak into the page like other pigment inks I have tried, they add more of a 3-D look to your embossing. Much richer stamping than other inks. I do love a good sale though! They are pricey, however, I am still using the ones I bought last January, so they are long lasting. Better coverage on your stamp as well. I have found these work better on the typical wood mounted stamps than the clear acrylics, but I haven't had much practice with the clears yet. I look forward to expanding my color collection after Christmas this year!
