Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than the similar (thinner) material! I did not encounter any problems with this material. I did, however, have all of the problems others have mentioned when we used a similar (cheaper) fabric! (It basically fell apart as soon as it was stretched!) I found the Yaya Han fabric to be a breeze to work with, provided you are working with a very sharp needle and not sewing at a slow speed! Go too slow and the fabric does tend to stretch. At a medium or higher speed the fabric feeds through no problem. However, when using a ball point or dull needle, the fabric can get sucked into the machine, especially at slower speeds. I can't wait to try to "Oil Slick" version next! :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cool in theory, disappointing overall While not overly difficult to use, I am horrified at how easily it scratches and loses its color. When the sales associate unfolded it from the bolt to cut it from me, there were streaks of discoloration from where the fabric had stuck to itself. The SA was so embarrassed she didn't know what to do, but as I bought this for a quick project I wasn't terribly bothered by it. When I got it home, it sat folded an untouched on my desk for a few days. When I unfolded it to use it, again, it was stuck together and the color came off. As it ran through my machine, any time the scale side was on the bottom, the color was rubbed off (ie: making a casing). As I threaded ribbon through the casing of the bag I'd made, my FINGERS rubbed the color off, leaving the top of the bag largely silver. Perfect if I was looking for a distressed look, not so perfect seeing as how I wasn't. Now this isn't a super huge deal as I made a drawstring backpack for dance gear, but this is marketed as a Cosplay fabric which means it will be handled WAY more in the sewing process than mine was, and anyone who is going to be making their own costume is going to want it to be perfect and pristine, something they aren't likely to get if the metallic color scratches and rubs off so easily. For the price, I found the quality of the fabric to be severely disappointing. I understand that some fabrics are more delicate than others, but Cosplay fabrics are not something that should be "delicate" and even the most finicky of fabrics I would expect to at least receive in pristine condition at the time of purchase which did not happen, to no fault of the SA or my location.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very vibrant I have bought the bright green and the purple in this material! I made baby and child sized leggings for some costumes. It is very stechy and I recommend using the surger when working with this fabric. I didn't have any issues with it sticking to itself or with the color fading or coming off like I see some people have. (Maybe too much heat in the factory before it reached a store?) So far I love the ya ya Han cosplay fabric and will continue to buy more until I find any issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst fabric ever! I have made costumes for years and I was expecting more from a person who designed fabric FOR COSTUMES. It stretched while going through my machine. Tried interfacing which wouldn't stick to it, so that was a bust. Don't waste your money or your time. Just because someone attached their name to it, doesn't mean better quality.
