SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Craft foam sheet
  • 12"x12" patterned paper
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  • 1/4" Dowel, 18" long
  • 1-1/2" Wooden wheel
  • 2 Pony beads
  • 24 Gauge wire, 6" long
  • Tacky glue
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters
  • Ruler

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cut craft foam and scrapbook paper into equal-sized squares. Suggested sizes range from 6" to 9". Use glue stick to adhere patterned paper to the craft foam sheet. Coat the paper liberally.
  2. Draw diagonal lines from point to point and cut along lines to 1-1/2" from center.
  3. Slip one pony bead to center of wire & bend wire in half until the two ends meet. Twist wire near bead for 1", then slip the other pony bead on the doubled wire end.
  4. To create pinwheel, bend every other foam corner to center, making sure the corners overlap. Place wooden wheel behind center of pinwheel, then slip wire through corners and wheel.
  5. Place dowel behind wheel. Separate wire, twist around dowel and glue wire ends in place.
