  • Mailboxes (3)
  • Chalkboard (12" x 18")
  • Stick of chalk
  • Bottle of acrylic paint matching the teal paint in the scrapbooking paper
  • 1" flat brush
  • Sheet metal screws 1/4" deep (3)
  • Screwdriver
  • Drill & drill bit, same size as the screws
  • X-Acto® knife
  • Bottle of fast dry for paper glue
  • Pencil
  • Straight edge for cutting (ruler)
  • Paper punch
  • Bottle of tacky glue

  1. Cut one sheet of scrapbooking paper the width of the mailbox from front to back.
  2. Take one mailbox and start to cover it at the flag side with a sheet of cut scrapbooking paper, centering the sheet on the mailbox with about 1/4" wrapping around at the bottom side of the mailbox on both sides.
  3. Starting at the flag, measure on the paper where that silver center is, mark it with a pencil and make a punch hole. Using a knife, make a slit from that hole to the bottom edge. Slide the paper down around the flag. Adhere the scrapbooking paper around the flag and to the bottom. Continue gluing all the way around the mailbox.
  4. Hold the paper in place for a few seconds while it dries to the mailbox.
  5. This will leave a 2" gap at the bottom on the mailbox. Using extra paper from that pattern, fill in the gap at the bottom of the mailbox and glue in place.
  6. Continue steps 1-6 on the next two mailboxes.
  7. Drill two holes about 2" apart top from bottom on the backside of each mailboxe.
  8. Line up all 3 mailboxes 1" from the bottom on the chalkboard and about 1" on each side of the chalkboard. Leave about 1" in between the mailboxes.
  9. Taking a pencil while holding each mailbox very still on the chalkboard and make a mark in the holes of each mailbox onto the chalkboard. Remove mailboxes
  10. Drill through these holes in the chalkboard with the drill.
  11. Do this will all 3 mailboxes.
  12. To attach the mailboxes put a glob of glue on the backside on each mailbox and screw the mailboxes onto the chalkboard.
  13. Use chalk to label each mailbox.
